Eentje vergeten

Hierbij heb ik nog een kaart die ik had gemaakt voor de release. Die ben ik gewoon helemaal vergeten. En dat terwijl ik er zo mijn best op had gedaan. Als je goed kijkt, zie je dat ik door alle knopjes een draad heb gedaan. Hij eindigt met de naald waar mijn draad stopt. Voor deze kaart heb ik de nieuwe Label Charm Pop-up (1209) en de Sewing Charms (1204) gebruikt van de nieuwe release. Als tekst heb ik de Merry Christmas (1065) gebruikt.

Forgot one

Here's another card I made before release. I just completely forgot about that one. And that while I tried so hard on it. If you look closely, you can see that I put a wire through all the buttons. It ends with the needle where my thread stops. For this card I used the new Label Charm Pop-up (1209) and the Sewing Charms (1204) from the new release. As text I have used the Merry Christmas (1065).

Verhuizen

Ik had twee kaarten nodig voor mensen die een nieuw huis hebben. Daar wilde ik dus een kaart voor maken. Nu eens op een andere manier. Ik had een keer gezien hoe een slimline ook voor de helft gebruikt kan worden. Dat ging ik dus even uitproberen. Ik ben begonnen met de kaart waar het huisje aan de voorkant van de kaart staat. Daardoor bedacht ik me, dat het leuker zou zijn als het huisje meer naar achter kwam te staan. Ik heb ze alle twee versierd met bloemen. En natuurlijk een home sweet home. 

To move house

I needed two cards for people who have a new home. So I wanted to make a card for that. Now in a different way. I had once seen how a slimline can also be used half. So I went to try that out. 

I started with the card where the house is on the front of the card. That made me think that it would be nicer if the house was set back more. I decorated them both with flowers. And of course a home sweet home.

Nu de tweede kaart

Vrijdag was de kaart voor Zoë, maar Amy was ook jarig. Dus vandaag haar kaart. Zoals ik al schreef. De basis is hetzelfde, maar de stijl is totaal anders. Amy houd van roze en houd meer van echt meisjesachtig. Voor de rest is hij eigenlijk hetzelfde. Ik heb wel met andere bloemen gewerkt. 

Now the second card 

Friday was the card for Zoë, but it was also Amy's birthday. So today her card. As I already wrote. The basics are the same, but the style is completely different. Amy likes pink and likes real girly. The rest is basically the same. I have worked with other flowers.

Party

Vandaag viert Keyon zijn verjaardag voor familie. En vanavond voor zijn vrienden. Hij heeft voor zijn verjaardag een pokerset gekregen. Hij gaat dus een avondje pokeren. Zo kwam ik ook op het idee van deze kaart. Mijn moeder wil ook een mooie kaart geven, dus naast de Cinnebon moet ik er nog eentje verzinnen. Vervolgens heb ik Ronald laten kiezen welke wij aan Keyon gingen geven en welke mijn moeder zou geven. De hond die ik in de kaart heb verwerkt is omdat Keyon in het jaar van de hond is geboren.

Party

Today Keyon celebrates his birthday for family. And tonight for his friends. He got a poker set for his birthday. So he's going to have a pokernight. That's how I came up with the idea for this card. My mother also wants to give a nice card, so next to the Cinnebon I had to come up with another one. Then I let Ronald choose which one we would give to Keyon and which one my mother would give. The dog I included in the card is because Keyon was born in the year of the dog.

Zoë is jarig

Zoë is 1 van een tweeling. Dus er komen nu twee kaarten die in de basis hetzelfde zijn, maar heel verschillend zijn. Ik wilde een keer het beeldscherm als een pop up maken. Uit de fireplace pop-up heb ik het stripje gebruikt om iets op de mantel te laten staan. Daar heb ik er twee van uitgedraaid en als rechthoek aan elkaar geplakt. In de vouw geplakt. Eigenlijk lijkt het heel erg op het mechanisme van de Sleigh pop-up. Maar dan is hij iets kleiner. Tot mijn verbazing bleef het beeldscherm heel goed staan. Op het scherm heb ik een plaatsje geplakt van een anime. Dat is een Japanse tekenfilm.

Zoë's birthday

Zoe is one of twins. So now there are two cards that are basically the same, but very different. I once wanted to make the screen as a pop up. I used the strip from the fireplace pop-up to leave something on the mantle. I cut out two of them and glued them together as a rectangle. Pasted in the fold. Actually it is very similar to the mechanism of the Sleigh pop-up. But then it is slightly smaller. To my surprise, the screen held up very well. On the screen I pasted a picture of an anime. That's a Japanese cartoon.

STAMPtember

Een maand lang lekker knutselen met de Simon Says Stamps. Ik heb een voorbeeldje gemaakt van een nieuwe stempel set die vanaf nu beschikbaar is op de site www.simonsaysstamp.com. Deze stempelset komt eenmalig uit en op=op. Ik ben alleen niet zo goed in kleuren, Voor de rest deed de paddenstoel me aan herfst denken, dus ben ik met herfst door gegaan.

STAMPtember

Enjoy a month of playing with the Simon Says Stamps. I made an example of a new stamp set that is now available on the site www.simonsaysstamp.com. This stamp set comes out once and gone = gone.

I'm just not very good at colors, otherwise the mushroom reminded me of autumn, so I continued with autumn.

Zestien jaar geleden......

.....beviel ik van een geweldige zoon. Wat gaat de tijd snel. Zo heb ik een schattig, klein kindje in mijn armen en dan ineens wil hij tot diep in de nacht naar een feestje. Allemaal leuk! De kaart die ik voor hem heb gemaakt heeft te maken met een serie die Keyon met zijn vader kijkt. Better call Saul. Die Saul werkt op een gegeven moment bij Cinnebon. Vandaar de kaart. Ik heb hem gemaakt met de photo collage pop-up.

Lieve Keyon, Van harte gefeliciteerd met je 16de verjaardag. Maak er een leuke dag van.

Sixteen years ago.....

...... I gave birth to a wonderful son. Time flies. For example, I have a cute little baby in my arms and then suddenly he wants to go to a party late into the night. All fun! The card I made for him has to do with a series that Keyon watches with his father. Better call Saul. Saul works at Cinnebon at one point. I made it with the photo collage pop-up. 

 Dear Keyon, Congratulations on your 16th birthday. Have a nice day.

Nikki 7 jaar

Vandaag is Nikki jarig. Nikkie word 7 jaar en houd van paarden. Dus ik heb het paard van Marianne Design erbij gepakt. Het hek is een oude die van Karen. De bloemen zijn van de upsy daisy. Die vind ik zo leuk. Wel veel draaien, want ik heb maar 1 die, dus veel bloemen, veel draaien aan de big shot. En aangezien ik meestal twee kaarten maak, waren het er best veel.

Nikki 7 years

Today is Nikki's birthday. Nikkie is 7 years old and loves horses. So I grabbed Marianne Design's horse. The fence is an old die from Karen. The flowers are from the upsy daisy. I like that one so much. A lot of spinning, because I only have 1 die, so many flowers, spin a lot on the big shot. And since I usually make two cards, there were quite a few.

Nog meer bier

Deze kaart heb ik even snel gemaakt voor een jongen die 18 is geworden. Het was een snelle kaart, want er was haast bij. Uiteindelijk ben ik wel tevreden.  Ik ben, voor het eerst, aan de slag gegaan met de Long Flap and Closure (1200). Ja ik vind hem erg gaaf. Ik moet alleen de magneetjes beter weg werken. Maar eens kijken of iemand daar nog tips over heeft. Ik werk niet zo veel met de slimline kaarten en vond de Little Labels Pop-Up (1183) het beste passen. Ook heb ik "cheers" (1111) vor het eerst gebruikt. Al met al was het erg leuk om te maken.

More beer

I made this card for a boy who turned 18. It was a quick card, because there was a rush. In the end I am satisfied. I started working with the Long Flap and Closure (1200) for the first time. Yes, I think he's very cool. I just need to get rid of the magnets better. But let's see if anyone has any tips on that. I don't work with the slimline cards much and found the Little Labels Pop-Up (1183) to be the best fit. I also used "cheers" (1111) for the first time. All in all it was a lot of fun to make.

Biertje?

De kaart van vandaag heeft als thema "biertje". Hans houd van een biertje en ik wilde mijn puff paint proberen. Puff paint is makkelijk aan te brengen. Dan warm je het op met je heat gun en dan wordt het een soort schuim. Dat ziet er erg cool uit. Net een echte schuimkraag.

Beer?

Today's card is themed "beer". Hans likes a beer and I wanted to try my puff paint. Puff paint is easy to apply. Then you heat it up with your heat gun and it becomes a kind of foam. That looks very cool. Just like a real foam head.

Kaart voor een klusser

Sandy Dillar had een geweldig idee. Ze maakte een werkbank van de nieuwe openhaard pop-up. Omdat er een verjaardag aankwam voor een klusser, heb ik het idee gebruikt. Ik vond het wel een leuk idee als de klusser iets aan het maken was. Dus de letters "happy birthday" heb ik uitgesneden, houtnerf gegeven en slordig maar op volgorde neer gegooid.

Card for a handyman

Sandy Dillar had a great idea. She made a workbench from the new fireplace pop-up. Since a handyman's birthday was coming up, I used the idea. I thought it was a nice idea if the handyman was making something. So I cut out the letters "happy birthday", gave it wood grain and threw it down in order.

Veel sterkte

Deze kaart heb ik gemaakt voor de zoons van de oom van Ronald die een tijdje terug is overleden. Ik kon hem niet eerder online zetten, want ik had een nieuwe release die gebruikt. De label waar "veel sterkte" op gestempeld is was er gewoon voor gemaakt. Ik vond hem perfect passen. Nu vind ik vlinders altijd wel goed voor deze gelegenheden, maar ik wilde eens iets anders proberen. Een alleenstaande boom vind ik ook een mooie. Dus ik heb mijn pop-up bomen erbij gepakt en kwam bij deze uit. Niet zo groot en ik kon er bloesem in doen.

With Sympathy

I made this card for the sons of Ronald's uncle who passed away a while back. I couldn't put it online before because I had used a die from the new release. The label (Label Charm Pop-up (1209)) with "great strength" stamped on it was just made for it. I thought it fit perfectly. Now I always think butterflies are good for these occasions, but I wanted to try something different. I also like a single tree. So I grabbed my pop-up trees and ended up with this one. Not so big and I could put blossoms in it.

Designer Challenge 61

Voor mijn tweede designer challenge heb ik een paar dies gebruikt van de nieuwe release. De opdracht was om het woord "just" te gebruiken. Nou dat kan dus van alles zijn. Ik heb er voor gekozen om een Halloween kaart te maken. Als uitdaging heb ik gekeken naar een die die eigenlijk nooit wordt gekozen voor een Halloween thema kaart. Ik vond de Cupcake pop-up wel een leuke keuze. Ik vond de nieuwe dies met de skelet erg leuk, dus die komen veel voor in deze kaart. De skelet met de pompoen als hoofd ontstond voor een gevoel van, er moet op die plek nog een beetje kleur komen. Dus ik heb het hoofd eraf geknipt en er een pompoen op gezet. Uiteindelijk erg grappig geworden.

For my second designer challenge I used a few of dies from the new release. The assignment was to use the word "just". Well that could be anything. I chose to make a Halloween card. As a challenge I looked at a die that is never actually chosen for a Halloween themed card. I thought the Cupcake pop-up was a nice choice. I really liked the new dies with the skeleton, so they are very common in this card. The skeleton with the pumpkin as head was created for a feeling of, there must still be a little color in that place. So I cut off the head and put a pumpkin on it. In the end it became very funny.

Soms is het even niet anders

Ik zit blijkbaar in een periode van mijn leven dat er om me heen, een flink aantal mensen overlijden. Dus vandaar dat ik de laatste tijd verschillende "sterkte"-kaarten heb gemaakt. Vandaag ook weer eentje. Omdat het naar een meneer gestuurd moet worden heb ik geprobeerd om hem een beetje neutraal te houden. Dus ik heb geen bloesem in de bomen gedaan. Ik vind zelf de voorkant wel leuk. Het lijkt net of je op je rug in het gras ligt en dan naar de lucht kijkt tussen de bomen door.

Apparently I'm in a period in my life when a lot of people die around me. So that's why I've been making several "strength" cards lately. Another one today. Because it has to be sent to a gentleman, I tried to keep him a bit neutral. So I didn't put blossoms in the trees. I like the front myself. It's like lying on your back in the grass and then looking at the sky through the trees.
