Vogeltjes

Vandaag een kaartje met de Piano Keys Pop-up (1274). Ik had de schattige vogeltjes van Marianne Design gekocht en moest die natuurlijk gebruiken. Zangvogeltjes. Gewapeld met de Music Charms (1271) heb ik her en der war muzieknootjes geplaatst. Op de achtergrond heb ik een vogelhuisje neergezet (ook van Marianne Design). Het randje komt van de Border Blends - Party (1091). De Happy Birthday is 1 van de eerste tekst dies die ik heb gekocht (Word Set 2: Birthday Die Set 1003).

Birds

Today a card with the Piano Keys Pop-up (1274). I had bought the cute birds from Marianne Design and of course had to use them. Songbirds. Armed with the Music Charms (1271) I placed some music notes here and there. In the background I placed a birdhouse (also from Marianne Design). The edge comes from the Border Blends – Party (1091). The Happy Birthday is one of the first text dies I bought (Word Set 2: Birthday Die Set 1003).

Designer Challenge #96 All About Bottom Fold Cards

Vandaag laat ik jullie mijn kaart zien voor de maandelijkse challenge van augustus. Het thema is: bottom fold (een kaart die van onder naar boven openklapt). 

Het is even stil geweest aan mijn kant. Ik ben namelijk op vakantie geweest en moest daarna echt even bijkomen. Maar ik ben er weer! Al ga ik in september wéér op vakantie.

Deze kaart heb ik speciaal gemaakt voor mijn nichtje, die morgen jarig is. Het was wel even puzzelen, want ik vind een bottom fold niet de leukste manier om een kaart te openen. Daardoor moest ik extra goed nadenken over het ontwerp. 

Gelukkig is het gelukt! Ik heb de Long Flap and Closure (1200) van Karen Burniston gebruikt als sluiting aan de bovenkant van de kaart. De flap blijft dicht met een klein magneetje. Ik ben aan de slag gegaan met de Coffee Cup Pop-up (1145). Nadat ik de hoofdkleur van de kaart had gekozen, heb ik de "beker" aangepast en omgebouwd tot popcornbakje. Daarbij heb ik de Popcorn (1295) gebruikt. 

Voor de kleur van de bakjes heb ik gekozen voor Pecan Pie van Stampin’ Up!, in plaats van het standaard rood-wit. Aan de binnenkant heb ik een deel van de beker afgeknipt en er twee popcornbakjes op geplakt. Om de kaart verder te versieren, heb ik gebruikgemaakt van: 

•  Happy Birthday (1030) 
•  Happy Birthday Shadow (1179) 
•  Movie Night Charms (1305) 
•  Spring Animals (1074) 

Today I'm sharing my card for the August monthly challenge. The theme is: bottom fold (a card that opens from the bottom up). 

 It’s been a bit quiet from me lately. I went on vacation and needed some time to relax. But I’m back! Although… I’ll be going on vacation again in September. 

I made this card for my niece, who’s celebrating her birthday tomorrow. It wasn’t easy, because I don’t really love the bottom fold style. It’s not my favorite way to open a card. So I had to really think about the design. 

But I made it work! I used the Long Flap and Closure (1200) die from Karen Burniston to create a top closure for the card. The flap stays shut with a small magnet. I started with the Coffee Cup Pop-up (1145). After picking the main color for the card, I transformed the "cup" into a popcorn box using the Popcorn (1295) dies. 

I chose Pecan Pie from Stampin’ Up! instead of the classic red and white. Inside the card, I trimmed part of the cup and glued on two popcorn boxes. To decorate the card further, I used: 

•  Happy Birthday (1030) 
•  Happy Birthday Shadow (1179) 
•  Movie Night Charms (1305) 
•  Spring Animals (1074)

KB Riley LLC June release Blog Hop

Hallo knutselvrienden,

Vandaag is het weer tijd voor de bloghop. Ik heb een leuke kaart verzonnen met de boog. Ik heb er een soort Mickey Mouse van gemaakt. Mijn nichtje was jarig en ik ga ik september met haar naar Disney Wold. Bij een leuke Disney film hoort natuurlijk popcorn. En om het een beetje af te maken heb ik de nieuwe Movie Night charms gebruikt. Ik vind het een leuke set, omdat film kijken een grote hobby van me is.

Today it is time for the blog hop again. I have come up with a nice card with the arch. I made it into a kind of Mickey Mouse. My niece had her birthday and I am going to Disney World with her in September. A nice Disney movie of course includes popcorn. And to finish it off a bit I used the new Movie Night charms. I think it is a nice set, because watching movies is a big hobby of mine.

Laatste sneakpeek voor de blog hop morgen

Vandaag de laatste sneakpeek voordat we morgen de Blog Hop live gooien.

Voor deze kaart heb ik als basis de whirly wheel (1306) gebruikt. Omdat mijn nichtje van Halloween houd heb ik de heks (Witch and Cauldron (1249)) erbij gepakt. Ik heb met de curved edges (1307) een paar wolken gemaakt en daar achter vandaan komt een Happy Birthday. De boom komt uit de Tree Pop-Up Die Set (1005). Om hem toch een beetje als een verjaardagskaart te laten lijken heb ik de cupcakejes uit de Baking Borders (1267) erbij gepakt.

Today the last sneak peek before we launch the Blog Hop tomorrow.

For this card I used the whirly wheel (1306) as a base. Because my niece loves Halloween I used the witch (Witch and Cauldron (1249)). I made a few clouds with the curved edges (1307) and from behind comes a Happy Birthday. The tree is from the Tree Pop-Up Die Set (1005). To make it look a bit like a birthday card I used the cupcakes from the Baking Borders (1267)

Vandaag de derde kaart voor de release. Deze hebben jullie als het goed is al voorbij zien komen in het release filmpje van Karen. Dit is de verjaardagskaart voor mijn man die vandaag jarig is. Omdat onze gezamenlijke hobby "film kijken" is, ben ik los gegaan met de popcorn en de nieuwe movie night chams (1305). Als basis ben ik gaan spelen met de Whirly Wheel (1306). Erg leuk! Natuurlijk moeten er wel leuk diertje aanwezig zijn en heb ik voor de uiltjes gekozen. Deze komen uit de Feathered Animals (1075).

Happy Birthdag hubbie

Today the third card for the release. You may have already seen this in Karen's release video. This is the birthday card for my husband who has his birthday today. Because our shared hobby is "watching movies", I went wild with the popcorn and the new movie night chams (1305). As a base I played with the Whirly Wheel (1306). Very nice! Of course there had to be a nice animal present and I chose the owls. These come from the Feathered Animals (1075).

Sneakpeek nummer 2

Ik wilde even wachten met deze kaart. Mijn kind heeft net te horen gekregen dat hij is geslaagd, dus nu is het tijd voor zijn kaart. Bij de nieuwe release zat de perfecte die set (Graduation Elements (1302)) om de boog te versieren met het thema "geslaagd". Samen met de ballonen van de nieuwe Party balloons (1310) is het een leuk feestje geworden. Ook vliegen er wat boeken in het rond. Die komen uit de Bookworm set (1217). Ik heb met de Mini Alphabet and Numbers  de letter "geslaagd" erop geplakt. Past perfect!!

I wanted to wait a bit with this card. My child just got the news that he passed, so now it's time for his card. The new release included the perfect die set (Graduation Elements (1302)) to decorate the arch with the theme "passed". Together with the balloons from the new Party balloons (1310) it has become a fun party. There are also some books flying around. They are from the Bookworm set (1217). I have glued the letter "passed" on it with the Mini Alphabet and Numbers. Fits perfectly!!

Vandaag de sneakpeek van de juni release van Karen Burniston.

En wat is hij weer leuk. Ik begin met de boog. Ik hou van bloemen dus ik heb van mijn boog een bloemen boog gemaakt. En omdat het Moederdag was heb ik hem voor mijn moeder gemaakt. De bloemen komen uit de Fun Flower (1234) die set. De Best Mom Ever heb ik gemaakt met het alfabet.

And it is great one. I start with the arch. I love flowers so I made a flower arch. And because it was Mother's Day I made it for my mother. The flowers are from the Fun Flower (1234) die set. The Best Mom Ever I made with the alphabet.

Designer Challenge 94 - Animals & Characters

Vandaag is het tijd voor de designer challenge van de maand juni. Dit is een verjaardagskaart voor mijn nichtje die 13 jaar is geworden. Zij speelt veld hockey. Ze kreeg van haar oma, mijn moeder, een nieuwe hockey stick. 

Voor de basis ben ik begonnen met het bankje (1170 - Garden Bench Pop-Up). Als je hard hebt getraind wil je wel even uitrusten. Ik ben toen even mijn dies door gaan zoeken om te bepalen welk diertje of karakter ik wilde gebruiken. Mijn oog viel dit keer op de struisvogel. Een erg leuk en schattig diertje en ze kunnen rennen als de beste.

Ik heb met mijn scan&cut de hockeysticks gemaakt. Een paar grote en een paar kleintje. De grote heb ik als rand gebruikt en de kleintjes voor de struisvogeltjes.

De Happy Birthday is gemaakt met de alfabet dies (1053 - Alphabet).

Designer Challenge 94 - Animals & Characters

Today it's time for the designer challenge of the month of June. This is a birthday card for my niece who turned 13. She plays field hockey. She got a new hockey stick from her grandmother, my mother. 

For the base I started with the bench (1170 - Garden Bench Pop-Up). When you've trained hard you want to rest for a while. I then went through my dies to decide which animal or character I wanted to use. This time my eye fell on the ostrich. A very nice and cute animal and they can run like the best.

I made the hockey sticks with my scan&cut. A few big ones and a few small ones. I used the large one as a border and the small ones for the ostriches.

The Happy Birthday is made with the alphabet dies (1053 - Alphabet).

Even een tussendoortje

Vandaag een paar kaartjes die ik met mijn scan&cut heb gemaakt. Ook voor deze geld, ik maak er twee, mocht er iets mis gaan. Gelukkig had ik voor beide kaarten een bestemming. De zonnenbloemen en lelietjes van dalen komen van Lawn Fawn.

Today a few cards that I made with my scan&cut. I make two, in case something goes wrong. Luckily I had a destination for both cards. The sunflowers and lilies of the valley are from Lawn Fawn.

Hart onder de riem

Vandaag een kaart die ik heb gemaakt voor iemand die wel even een opkikker kon gebruiken. Voor de mensen die me kennen, maak ik heel vaak twee kaarten. Mocht er dan iets mis gaan, dan heb ik een reserve. In dit geval was mijn "with sympathy" gelukt en kreeg ik een berichtje dat iemand een opkikker nodig had. Deze kaart heb ik versiert met de Fun Flowers (1234). 

De teksten komen uit de Word Set 15 - Just Because (1205) en Word Set 14 - Hugs (1182). Het kikkertje komt uit de Bayou Animals (1181) dies set. Oja, ik heb op de achterkant de grote bloem uit de Twist Flower Pop-up (1239) in het wit uitgestandst en een plekje van gemaakt om wat op te schrijven. 

Today a card I made for someone who could use a pick-me-up. For those who know me, I often make two cards. If something goes wrong, I have a spare. In this case, my "with sympathy" was successful and I received a message that someone needed a pick-me-up. I decorated this card with the Fun Flowers (1234). 

The texts are from the Word Set 15 - Just Because (1205) and Word Set 14 - Hugs (1182). The frog is from the Bayou Animals (1181) die set. Oh yes, on the back I punched out the large flower from the Twist Flower Pop-up (1239) in white and made a spot to write something on.

 

Gecondoleerd kaart

Vandaag een kaart die ik voor iemand heb gemaakt omdat zijn moeder was overleden.
Voor deze kaart heb ik de Tag Book Pop-up (1023) er weer een keertje bij gepakt. Omdat ik een grotere tag leuker vind heb ik ook de Topper Tags (1253) gebruikt. Met de Fun Flowers (1234), With Sympathy (1138) en Word Set 10 - Thinking of You (1102) heb ik de kaart aangekleed. Op de achterkant heb ik met een kleine tag een schrijf stukje gemaakt.

Today a card I made for someone because his mother passed away.
For this card I used the Tag Book Pop-up (1023). Because I prefer a larger tag I also used the Topper Tags (1253). I decorated the card with the Fun Flowers (1234), With Sympathy (1138) and Word Set 10 - Thinking of You (1102). On the back I made a writing piece with a small tag.

Designer Challenge 93 - Theme: "Make it Fluffy"

Ok mensen, ik moest heel hard nadenk voor de Fluffy gedeelte. Sinds kort het in chatGPT ontdekt. Daar ben ik mijn reis naar Disney World mee aan het beter maken. Met vragen als: hoe kom ik aan flessen water en hoe kan ik de gardians of the galaxy inkomen. Maargoed ik drijf weer af.

ChatGPT gaf ook slagroom als een fluffy optie, en toen kreeg ik een idee. Dus naast de Triple Platform Pop-up (1300) heb ik ook de cupcakejes uit de Cupcake Add-ons (1241) erbij gepakt.

Uit de Baking Borders (1267) set heb ik de kleine fluffy slagroom gebruikt.

Met het Alphabet (1053) ben ik een eigen Happy Birthday gaan maken. Eerst cratief aan elkaar plakken. Daarna op wit papier plakken en uitknippen met een schaduw randje.

Nu vind ik Fluffy ook een hele leuke naam voor een konijntje. Vandaar dat mijn kaart dus een aantal konijntjes heeft gekregen. Veel plezier met mijn Fluffy kaart.

Ok guys, I had to think really hard for the Fluffy part. I recently discovered chatGPT. I'm using it to improve my trip to Disney World. With questions like: how do I get bottles of water and how can I get into the guardians of the galaxy. But anyway, I'm drifting off again.

ChatGPT also gave whipped cream as a fluffy option, and then I got an idea. So in addition to the Triple Platform Pop-up (1300) I also used the cupcakes from the Cupcake Add-ons (1241).

I used the small fluffy whipped cream from the Baking Borders (1267) set.

I started making my own Happy Birthday with the Alphabet (1053). First, creatively glue them together. Then paste on white paper and cut out with a shadow border.

Now I also think Fluffy is a very nice name for a bunny. That's why my card has a number of bunnies. Have fun with my Fluffy card.

Vandaag een kaart die ik al een poosje op mijn blog wil zetten. Dus ik moest even goed kijken wat ik nu als basis had gebruikt. Het was niet zo goed te zien, maar ik ben er achter. Ik heb de Lorna Label Pop-up (1266) gebruikt. Omdat ik een verjaardagskaart wilde maken heb ik de cupcakejes uit de Cupcake Pop-Up Die Set (1008) gepakt.

De grote bloemen zijn van Marianne Desing, maar de kleine bloemen komen uit de Fun Flowers (1234). De voorkant heeft de Happy Birthday en de shadow die.

Today a card that I have been wanting to put on my blog for a while. So I had to take a good look at what I had used as a base. It was not that easy to see, but I figured it out. I used the Lorna Label Pop-up (1266). Because I wanted to make a birthday card I used the cupcakes from the Cupcake Pop-Up Die Set (1008). 

The large flowers are from Marianne Desing, but the small flowers are from the Fun Flowers (1234). The front has the Happy Birthday and the shadow die.

Time flies when you're having fun

Het is alweer eind april. Ik vind echt dat het hard gaat. Ik ben ook met een aantal leuke dingen bezig. Sinds September zit ik op naailes en die dame geeft ook patroontekenen. Dat was echt een lang gekoesterde droom van mij. Ik ben namelijk altijd ontevreden over de kleding die ik in de winkel koop en zo kan ik kleding op maat gaan maken. Nu ben ik bezig met een maxi broekrok tekenen. Als ik hem af heb zal ik hem wel op mijn blog zetten.

Maar goed, ik zal nu even bloggen over de kaart van vandaag. Mijn neefje was laatst jarig en ik wilde een kaartje voor hem maken. Hij houd heel erg van boeken, dus ik heb een boeken kaart gemaakt.

De basis is de Triple Platform Pop-up (1300).Ik heb met de dies van Lawn Fawn gebruikt, omdat die boeken wat groter waren, maar het kunnen ook de boeken van Karen gewoon zijn die je hiervoor gebruikt.

It's already the end of April. I really think it's going fast. I'm also busy with a number of fun things. I've been taking sewing lessons since September and that lady also teaches pattern drawing. That was a long-cherished dream of mine. I'm always unhappy with the clothes I buy in the store and this way I can start making custom clothes. Now I'm busy drawing a maxi skirt. When I'm finished I'll put it on my blog.

Anyway, I'll blog about today's card now. My nephew had his birthday recently and I wanted to make a card for him. He really likes books, so I made a book card.

The base is the Triple Platform Pop-up (1300). I used the dies from Lawn Fawn, because those books were a bit bigger, but you can also just use the books from Karen for this.

Workshopje

Karen Burniston geeft 1 keer per maand een workshop. Dan gaat ze live met zoom en maak je twee kaarten met haar. Alleen te volgen als je een kit bij de winkel hebt gekocht. Dan krijg je de link.

Ik heb afgelopen zaterdag een keertje meegedaan als design lid en heb dezelfde kaart gemaakt, maar dan zonder het papier die je bij de kit krijgt. Zo kunnen we laten zien dat het ook met ander papier een leuke kaart kan worden. Ik vind dat altijd wel een uitdaging.

De eerste kaart was een gereedschapskist en ik heb daar een verjaardagskaart van gemaakt. De tweede kaart heb ik twee keer gemaakt. Omdat ik niet helemaal wist of ik de ruitjes leuk ging vinden, heb ik daarnaast een hoop papier uitgedraaid voor een tweede kaart. Het ging zo goed dat ik ze ook alle twee heb gemaakt.

Het was erg leuk om te doen, en ik heb erg genoten.

Workshop

Karen Burniston gives a workshop once a month. She goes live with zoom and you make two cards with her. Only to follow if you have bought a kit from the store. Then you will receive the link. I participated last Saturday as a design member and made the same card, but without the paper that you get with the kit. This way we can show that it can also be a nice card with other paper. I always find that a nice challenge. The first card was a toolbox and I made a birthday card from it. I made the second card twice. Because I wasn't sure if I would like the squares, I also cut out a lot of paper for a second card. It went so well that I made them both. It was a lot of fun to do, and I really enjoyed it.

Designer Challenge 92 Thema: Designer's Choice

Vandaag is het weer zover. De designer challenge voor de maand april. Ik mocht maken wat ik wilde. Ik heb voor de Fancy Label Accordion (1043) gekozen. Sinds Karen de Fancy Solid Frame (1272) heeft uitgebracht, vind ik het een stuk makkelijker om deze kaart te maken.

Voor mijn "Get well soon" kaart heb ik eerst de Get Well Charms (1072) erbij gepakt. Dit stukje tekst is de perfecte grootte voor deze kaart. Om de kaart verder te versieren ben ik begonnen met de Cupcake Add-ons (1241). Een paar schattige cupcakejes. Ook heb ik de Flower Pot Add-ons (1294) en de Fun Flowers (1234) gebruikt om de kaart verder te versieren.
