Na een kleine stilte

Hier weer een blogje van mij. Ik had even privé wat dingen waar mijn aandacht naar moest gaan. Vandaag weer even de rust gevonden om een blog te schrijven. 

Ik moest een kaart maken voor een jongen die 14 is geworden. Als hobby heeft hij gamen, dus ik heb mijn controller die weer tevoorschijn gehaald. Als basis heb ik de Little Twist Panel Pop-up (1232) genomen. En de twee controllers hebben veel beweging. Dat maakt de kaart spectaculair. De "Happy Birthday" heb ik op een beeldscherm geplakt.. De vlaggetjes komen uit de Slim Flaps and Frames (1162).

After a little silence

Here's another blog from me. I had some private things that needed my attention. Today I found some time to write a blog again. I had to make a card for a boy who turned 14. He enjoys gaming as a hobby, so I took out my controller again. I used the Little Twist Panel Pop-up (1232) as a basis. And the two controllers have a lot of movement. That makes the card spectacular. I glued the "Happy Birthday" onto a screen. The flags come from the Slim Flaps and Frames (1162).

Halloween verjaardag

Vandaag een kaart voor mijn schoonzusje. En omdat ze zo dicht bij Halloween jarig is, heb ik dit jaar een Halloween kaart voor haar gemaakt. Als basis heb ik de Landscape Rectangle Accordion (1198) en de  Fence Add-ons (2014) genomen. Vervolgens heb ik hem versiert met Witch and Cauldron (1249), Halloween Borders (1247), Skeleton and Bat (1206), de bloem van de Backyard Charms (1130) en de paddestoelen komen uit de Backyard Charms (1130) en Mini Ball Add-ons 1 - Gnomes (1202). Als laatste heb ik de Happy Birthday (1030) en Happy Birthday shadow (1179) gebruikt.

Halloween birthday

Today a card for my sister-in-law. And because her birthday is so close to Halloween, I made her a Halloween theme birthday card this year. As a basis I used the Landscape Rectangle Accordion (1198) and the Fence Add-ons (2014). I then decorated it with Witch and Cauldron (1249), Halloween Borders (1247), Skeleton and Bat (1206), the flower from the Backyard Charms (1130) and the mushrooms are from the Backyard Charms (1130) and Mini Ball Add -us 1 - Gnomes (1202). Finally, I used the Happy Birthday (1030) and Happy Birthday shadow (1179).

Blikkie zegt "bedankt"

Als we alle drie van huis zijn, dan hebben we iemand nodig om onze schat eten te geven. Blikkie is onze poes en als we weg zijn geven de buren haar eten. Deze vakantie was Keyon in Zuid Korea en Ronald en ik gingen België onveilig maken. Ondanks dat onze vakantie niet zo lang was, had ik wel een mooie bedank kaart voor de buren gemaakt. Voor de kaart heb ik Paper Frames Pop-up (1122) gepakt en vol geplakt met bloemen. De poes is Marianne Design. Om een stukje te kunnen schrijven heb ik voor de Labels - Crosshatch (1184) gekozen. Deze is lekker speels. En op de voorkant de Thank You (1066).

When all three of us are away from home, we need someone to feed our darling. Blikkie is our cat and when we are away the neighbors feed her. This holiday Keyon was in South Korea and Ronald and I went to make Belgium unsafe. Even though our vacation wasn't that long, I did make a nice thank you card for the neighbors. For the card I took Paper Frames Pop-up (1122) and covered it with flowers. The cat is Marianne Design. To be able to write a piece, I chose the Labels - Crosshatch (1184). This one is nice and playful. And on the front the Thank You (1066).

Designer Challenge 74, Jack-o-lantern

Vandaag is het weer tijd voor de maandelijkse challenge kaart. Het onderwerp is een jack-o-lantern. Geen idee hoe we dat in het Nederlands noemen. Halloween is nog niet zo groot hier in Nederland. Ik heb voor deze kaart de Fancy Label Accordion (1043) als basis genomen. Ik heb een grote pompoen opgezocht en gezorgd dat hij er tussen paste. Net als bij de Landscape Rectangle Accordion (1198) en de Fence Add-ons (1240). Het principe is hetzelfde. De achterkant heb ik netjes weggewerkt. Als randje kwam de nieuwe Halloween Borders (1247) goed van pas. Ik vind het zo een gave rand. Dus ik was blij dat ik hem kon gebruiken. Om hem af te maken de Happy Halloween (1168).

Designer Challenge 74, Jack-o-lantern

Today it's time again for the monthly challenge card. The subject is a jack-o-lantern. No idea what we call that in Dutch. Halloween is not that big yet here in the Netherlands. I used the Fancy Label Accordion (1043) as a basis for this card. I found a large pumpkin and made sure it fit in there. Just like with the Landscape Rectangle Accordion (1198) and the Fence Add-ons (1240). The principle is the same. I neatly concealed the back. As an edge, the new Halloween Borders (1247) came in handy. I think it's such a cool edge. So I was happy to use it. To top it off the Happy Halloween (1168).

Kaarten met een verhaal

Deze kaarten heb ik voor mijn neefje Daan gemaakt. Een soort verhaal. Mijn moeder gaf de eerste kaart. Daar zie je dat er buitenaardse wezens op weg zijn met een kado. Kaart 2 krijg hij van ons. Daar zijn de wezentjes geland en vieren ze zijn verjaardag. De eerste heb ik gemaakt met de Upsy Daisy Pop-Up (1047). De tweede kaart is gemaakt met de Parcel Pop-Up (1116). De raket heb ik van de Rocket Pop-up (1105).

Cards with a story

I made these cards for my nephew Daan. Some kind of story. My mother gave the first card. There you see that aliens are on their way with a gift. He gets card 2 from us. The aliens have landed and are celebrating his birthday. I made the first one with the Upsy Daisy Pop-Up (1047). The second card was made with the Parcel Pop-Up (1116). I got the rocket from the Rocket Pop-up (1105).

Tijd voor....

....een kopje thee en een blog. Mijn kind is jarig geweest, de familie feesten gevierd op 1 na, dus er gaat wat meer rust komen. Het was een drukken week. Eerst werd de quooker geïnstalleerd, Toen ging de koelkast stuk. Dus snel een nieuwe gekocht, omdat we zaterdag een huis vol visite kregen. Vandaag is de nieuwe verwarmingsketel geplaatst, dus, blij dat ik nu zit met een kopje thee, even een blog schrijven.

Deze kaart heb ik voor mijn buurmeisje Liza gemaakt. Wat een heerlijk kleine meid. Ik heb 5 donderdagen haar gehad, omdat de BSO nog geen plaats had. Na de vakantie kan ze er terecht. Ik vond het erg gezellig. Weer eens anders dan een 17 jarige puber.

Ik had weer eens zin in de Tag Book Pop-up (1023). Ze vind zeemeerminnen erg leuk, dus het is een onderwater wereld geworden. Met een zeemeermin van Princess and Mermaid (1036) en de tekst van de Happy Birthday (1030).

Time for.....

....a cup of tea and a blog. It was my child's birthday, the family celebrated all but one party, so there will be a bit more breathing space. It was a busy week. First the quooker was installed, then the refrigerator broke down. So I quickly bought a new one, because we had a house full of visitors on Saturday. Today the new boiler was installed, so I'm glad I'm now sitting with a cup of tea, writing a blog.

I made this card for my neighbor Liza. What a wonderful little girl. I had her for 5 Thursdays, because the after-school care center didn't have room yet. She can go there after the holidays. I had a lot of fun. Different from a 17 year old teenager. 

I was looking forward to the Tag Book Pop-up (1023) again. She really likes mermaids, so it has become an underwater world. With a mermaid from Princess and Mermaid (1036) and the text of Happy Birthday (1030).

Keyon 17 jaar

Vandaag is mijn kind 17 jaar geworden. Het begon allemaal 17 jaar geleden toen Keyon besloot om 5 weken te vroeg te komen. Hij wilde blijkbaar graag zijn vader leren kennen en op Prinsjesdag geboren worden. De eerste in de familie die op prinsjesdag is geboren. Hoewel zijn neefje het een paar jaar later ook heeft gedaan.

Deze kaart heb ik niet zelf verzonnen. In de juni release had Nicky Foden deze gave kaart verzonnen. Nu hou mijn kind niet van prinsessen, maar wel van de middel eeuwen. Dus dit kasteel is meer een middeleeuws kasteel. Omdat het best wel dik was heb ik er een boekje omheen gemaakt.  Het kasteel is gemaakt met de House of Cards Pop-up (1242).  Om hem verder aan te kleden heb ik de volgende dies gebruikt:

• Rectangles - Crosshatch (1054) 
• Tent Pop-Up (1048)

Today my child turned 17 years old. It all started 17 years ago when Keyon decided to arrive 5 weeks early. He apparently wanted to get to know his father and be born on Budget Day. The first in the family to be born on Prince's Day. Although his nephew did it too a few years later. I did not make this card up myself. In the June release, Nicky Foden came up with this cool card. Now my child doesn't like princesses, but he does like the middle ages. So this castle is more of a medieval castle. Because it was quite thick, I made a booklet around it. The castle was made with the House of Cards Pop-up (1242). To further dress it up I used the following dies:

• Rectangles - Crosshatch (1054) 
• Tent Pop-Up (1048)
