Soms... ga ik iets te ver

Ik denk dat de mensen die deze kaart hebben gehad hem wel erg mooi vonden, maar als ik terug kijk ben ik wel erg ver gegaan met deze kaart. Hij is echt een beetje te groot geworden. Die conclusie trok ik toen ik een envelop moest maken. Ik heb wel veel lol gehad toen ik hem maakte en ook ik vind hem erg leuk geworden. De basis is gemaakt met de Woven Basket Box Card Pop-up (1080) en Wide Woven Basket Card (1223) van Karen Burniston. Het schattige olifantje is van Marianne degign. De bloemen zijn van Lawn Fawn (Happy Hibiscus). Emma is gemaakt van een die set van Stamping'Up!. Echt een hele leuke set.

Sometimes... I go a little too far

I think the people who got this card really liked it, but looking back I went a bit too far with this card. It really became a bit too big. I came to that conclusion when I had to make an envelope. I had a lot of fun making the card and I also think it turned out really nice. The base is made with the Woven Basket Box Card Pop-up (1080) and Wide Woven Basket Card (1223) by Karen Burniston. The cute elephant is by Marianne degign. The flowers are by Lawn Fawn (Happy Hibiscus). Emma is made from a die set by Stamping'Up!. Really a very nice set.

Daar ben ik weer

Ik ben weer terug van vakantie. Ik ben dinsdag al geland, maar had het meteen even druk met de was en het organiseren van mijn journal. Dat heeft nog al wat tijd in beslag genomen. Nu ben ik klaar met de was en mijn foto's staan klaar om te bestellen. Ik vond het dan ook weer hoog tijd om een kaart op mijn blog te zetten.

Deze is voor Halyna en zij was op mijn vertrekdag naar Japan jarig. Zij is een coupeuse. Ik had nog erg leuk DSP papier liggen en knopen doen het altijd wel leuk. Ik heb de kaart versierd met de Sewing Charms (1204). Op de voorkant heb ik de Happy Birthday gebruikt van de laatste release. De die Happy Birthday Lorna Add-ons (1276). Deze is een mooi formaat en past perfect.

Here I am again

I'm back from vacation. I landed on Tuesday, but I was busy with laundry and organizing my journal. That took up quite some time. Now I'm done with laundry and my photos are ready to order. I thought it was high time to put a card on my blog.

This one is for Halyna and she had her birthday on the day I left for Japan. She is a seamstress. I still had some really nice DSP paper lying around and buttons are always fun. I decorated the card with the Sewing Charms (1204). On the front I used the Happy Birthday from the latest release. The Happy Birthday Lorna Add-ons (1276). This one is a nice size and fits perfectly.

 

Challenge kaart 84 - Theme: "Let the music play!"

Vandaag de challenge kaart voor de maand augustus. Op het moment dat deze op mijn blog verschijnt zit ik zelf in Japan, Dus mocht hij iets te laat komen, mijn excuses. 

De kaart die ik heb gemaakt, was ook meteen een verjaardagskaart. Yannick is, net als ons gezin, fan van het Hard Rock café. Dus in Japan gaan we ze zeker bezoeken.

Ik heb het logo gemaakt door het lettertype op te zoeken en het in drie kleuren uit te snijden. Rood de bovenkant, wit er tussen en onderop de zwarte. Zo krijg je het schaduw effect.

Aan de binnenkant heb ik de Piano pop-up gebruikt. De achtergrond hen ik met een muzieknoten embossing folder mooi gemaakt. Naast de piano heb ik een elektrische gitaar geplaatst (is een svg bestand).  Mijn neefje heeft als sterrenbeeld leeuw, dus ik heb een paar leeuwen erbij geplaatst.

Today the challenge card for the month of August. At the time this appears on my blog I am in Japan myself, so if it is a bit late, my apologies. 

The card I made, was also a birthday card. Yannick is, just like our family, a fan of the Hard Rock café. So in Japan we will definitely visit them. I made the logo by looking up the font and cutting it out in three colors. Red at the top, white in between and black at the bottom. This is how you get the shadow effect. 

On the inside I used the Piano pop-up. I made the background nice with a music notes embossing folder. Next to the piano I placed an electric guitar (is an svg file). My nephew has the zodiac sign Leo, so I added a few lions.

Tweede geslaagd kaart

Vandaag de tweede geslaagd kaart. Dit keer minder traditioneel. En wel een cup cake kaart. Ik heb een vrolijk gekleurd papiertje erbij gepakt. Gewoon een feestje. Deze kaart heb ik gemaakt met de Landscape Rectangle Accordion (1198). In het midden zie je de Cupcake Add-ons (1241). Ik heb in verschillende kleuren de sprinkels uitgedraaid en die heb ik over de hele kaart verdeeld.

De tekst geslaagd heb ik met wat letters van Stampin'Up! gedaan. Dit alfabet is slank en part netjes op het eerste rechthoekje.

Second graduate card

Today the second graduate card. This time less traditional. A cupcake card. I took a brightly colored paper. Just a party. I made this card with the Landscape Rectangle Accordion (1198). In the middle you see the Cupcake Add-ons (1241). I die cut hte sprinkles in different colors and distributed them over the entire card.

I did the text successful with some letters from Stampin'Up! This alphabet is slim and fits neatly on the first rectangle.

Geslaagd

In de maand juni slagen de mensen hier in Nederland. Dus als ze het netjes plannen hangen er veel vlaggen buiten op de verjaardag van mijn man, hihi. Maar goed. Dit jaar waren er twee meiden die hun eind examen hebben gehaald en heb ik wat geslaagd kaarten zitten maken. Vandaag de eerste. Hiervoor heb ik de rups (Bookworm 1217) gebruikt. Met die grote bril lijkt hij al heel erg intelligent. Een hoop boeken erbij, want in zo een examen jaar moet je veel boeken lezen. De 2024 komen uit de Numbers (1031). Ik heb de geslaagd petjes als charms gemaakt. Als tekst heb ik You did it gepakt uit de Word Set 8 - Congrats (1077).

Passed

In the month of June, people here in the Netherlands graduate. So if they plan it properly, there will be a lot of flags hanging outside on my husband's birthday, haha. But anyway. This year, there were two girls who passed their final exams and I made some graduation cards. Today the first one. For this, I used the caterpillar (Bookworm 1217). With those big glasses, he already seems very intelligent. A lot of books, because in such an exam year you have to read a lot of books. The 2024 come from the Numbers (1031). I made the graduation caps as charms. As text, I took You did it from the Word Set 8 - Congrats (1077).

Vlindertjes

Vandaag een kaart voor een beetje troost. Ik kreeg van mijn man de vraag of ik een condoleance kaart wilde maken. Nu had ik er nog eentje liggen, maar omdat ik toch mijn vlindertjes tevoorschijn had gehaald voor een andere kaart, ben ik toch een nieuwe gaan maken. Lawn Fawn had het Lelietje van Dalen als die uitgebracht en die vind ik zo schattig. Dus met die twee dingen moest ik even verzinnen welke Karen Buniston die ik daar bij ging gebruiken. Het bankje sprong er ineens uit. Op de voorkant de "With Sympathy" en zo is deze kaart ontstaan.

Butterflies

Today a card for a little comfort. My husband asked me if I wanted to make a condolence card. I still had one lying around, but because I had taken out my butterflies for another card, I decided to make a new one. Lawn Fawn had released the Lily of the Valley as a die. So cute. So with those two things I had to think of which Karen Buniston die I was going to go. The bench suddenly jumped out. On the front the "With Sympathy" and that's how this card came about.

Huwelijksbootje

Vandaag een huwelijk bijgewoond van een vriendin van mij. Door de nieuwe release had ik al snel het idee om een huwelijksbootje te maken. Dus de boot heb ik in wit gemaakt. Eigenlijk wilde ik ook blikje achter de boot hangen, maar na even brainstormen met mezelf, vond ik de snoephartjes wel een leuk oplossing. Om de boot te versieren heb ik kleine strikjes op de boot geplakt. Volgens mij komt het strikje ui de kichen add-ons kerst. En de rondjes op de strikje komen van de snowmen.

Wedding boat

Today I attended the wedding of a friend of mine. The new release quickly gave me the idea to make a wedding boat. So I made the boat in white. Actually, I also wanted to hang a tin behind the boat, but after brainstorming with myself, I thought the candy hearts were a nice solution. To decorate the boat I glued small bows on the boat. I think the bow comes from the kichen add-ons at Christmas. And the circles on the bow tie come from the snowmen.
