Designer Challenge 97 - Theme: "LETTER"

Vandaag vertrek ik naar Orlando om Disney World onveilig te maken! Maar voordat het avontuur echt begint, heb ik nog even de tijd genomen om deze vrolijke kaart met jullie te delen. 

Het thema van Designer Challenge 97 is “LETTER”. Voor deze kaart heb ik zowel fysieke letters als brieven gecombineerd in één ontwerp. De basis is gemaakt met Flip Frame Pop-Up (1134). Met mijn envelop punch board maakte ik de envelopjes, en de kleinere exemplaren komen uit de Postage Pop-Up (1291) set. De schattige varkentjes komen uit de Chicken, Pig and Lamb (1092) set. Om een boodschap op te schrijven gebruikte ik Rectangles - Crosshatch (1054), en op de voorkant pronkt “Happy Birthday” met de Alphabet (1053) set. 

Het resultaat is een speelse en vrolijke kaart die het thema van de challenge helemaal tot leven brengt.

Today I’m heading to Orlando to have fun at Disney World! But before the adventure truly begins, I wanted to share this cheerful card with you. 

The theme of Designer Challenge 97 is “LETTER”. For this card, I combined both physical letters and mail in one design. The base is made with Flip Frame Pop-Up (1134). I created the envelopes with my envelope punch board, and the smaller ones come from the Postage Pop-Up (1291) set. The cute little pigs are from the Chicken, Pig and Lamb (1092) set. To write a message, I used Rectangles - Crosshatch (1054), and on the front, “Happy Birthday” shines with the Alphabet (1053) set. 

The result is a playful and cheerful card that truly brings the challenge theme to life.

  

Dino Avontuur in de Arcologie

Vandaag deel ik op mijn blog een speciale kaart die ik heb gemaakt voor iemand die helemaal gek is op archeologie. Gewapend met mijn "Tent Pop-Up (1048)" ben ik aan de slag gegaan. 

Als achtergrond heb ik een leuke stempelset van Stampin’Up! gebruikt met dino’s en botjes. De witte botjes heb ik geëmbossed met poeder, waardoor ze echt van het papier afspatten. Voor de botjes op de tent heb ik de "Pirate Borders (1281)" erbij gepakt – de kleine botjes van de piratenhoed zijn daar perfect voor. 

Voor de rand koos ik de "Halloween Borders (1247)". Natuurlijk mocht er ook een diertje bij: mijn keuze viel op het wasbeertje uit de "Woodland Animals Die Set (1001)". Hij houdt een schepje vast uit de "Garden Charms (1085)", en naast de tent staat een lampje uit de "Camping Charms (1049)". 

Als finishing touch prijkt de tekst Happy Birthday op de voorkant.

Dino Adventure in the Arcology

Today on my blog I’m sharing a special card I made for someone who absolutely loves archaeology. Armed with my "Tent Pop-Up (1048)", I got started right away. 

For the background, I used a fun Stampin’Up! stamp set with dinosaurs and bones. The white bones were heat embossed with powder, making them pop right off the page. On the tent, I added bones from the "Pirate Borders (1281)" set – the tiny skull-and-bones from the pirate hat were just the right size. 

The border was created with the "Halloween Borders (1247)". Of course, I couldn’t resist adding an animal: I chose the raccoon from the "Woodland Animals Die Set (1001)". He’s holding a little shovel from the "Garden Charms (1085)", and right next to the tent I placed a lantern from the "Camping Charms (1049)". 

To finish it all off, I added a cheerful Happy Birthday on the front.

Vogeltjes

Vandaag een kaartje met de Piano Keys Pop-up (1274). Ik had de schattige vogeltjes van Marianne Design gekocht en moest die natuurlijk gebruiken. Zangvogeltjes. Gewapeld met de Music Charms (1271) heb ik her en der war muzieknootjes geplaatst. Op de achtergrond heb ik een vogelhuisje neergezet (ook van Marianne Design). Het randje komt van de Border Blends - Party (1091). De Happy Birthday is 1 van de eerste tekst dies die ik heb gekocht (Word Set 2: Birthday Die Set 1003).

Birds

Today a card with the Piano Keys Pop-up (1274). I had bought the cute birds from Marianne Design and of course had to use them. Songbirds. Armed with the Music Charms (1271) I placed some music notes here and there. In the background I placed a birdhouse (also from Marianne Design). The edge comes from the Border Blends – Party (1091). The Happy Birthday is one of the first text dies I bought (Word Set 2: Birthday Die Set 1003).

Designer Challenge #96 All About Bottom Fold Cards

Vandaag laat ik jullie mijn kaart zien voor de maandelijkse challenge van augustus. Het thema is: bottom fold (een kaart die van onder naar boven openklapt). 

Het is even stil geweest aan mijn kant. Ik ben namelijk op vakantie geweest en moest daarna echt even bijkomen. Maar ik ben er weer! Al ga ik in september wéér op vakantie.

Deze kaart heb ik speciaal gemaakt voor mijn nichtje, die morgen jarig is. Het was wel even puzzelen, want ik vind een bottom fold niet de leukste manier om een kaart te openen. Daardoor moest ik extra goed nadenken over het ontwerp. 

Gelukkig is het gelukt! Ik heb de Long Flap and Closure (1200) van Karen Burniston gebruikt als sluiting aan de bovenkant van de kaart. De flap blijft dicht met een klein magneetje. Ik ben aan de slag gegaan met de Coffee Cup Pop-up (1145). Nadat ik de hoofdkleur van de kaart had gekozen, heb ik de "beker" aangepast en omgebouwd tot popcornbakje. Daarbij heb ik de Popcorn (1295) gebruikt. 

Voor de kleur van de bakjes heb ik gekozen voor Pecan Pie van Stampin’ Up!, in plaats van het standaard rood-wit. Aan de binnenkant heb ik een deel van de beker afgeknipt en er twee popcornbakjes op geplakt. Om de kaart verder te versieren, heb ik gebruikgemaakt van: 

•  Happy Birthday (1030) 
•  Happy Birthday Shadow (1179) 
•  Movie Night Charms (1305) 
•  Spring Animals (1074) 

Today I'm sharing my card for the August monthly challenge. The theme is: bottom fold (a card that opens from the bottom up). 

 It’s been a bit quiet from me lately. I went on vacation and needed some time to relax. But I’m back! Although… I’ll be going on vacation again in September. 

I made this card for my niece, who’s celebrating her birthday tomorrow. It wasn’t easy, because I don’t really love the bottom fold style. It’s not my favorite way to open a card. So I had to really think about the design. 

But I made it work! I used the Long Flap and Closure (1200) die from Karen Burniston to create a top closure for the card. The flap stays shut with a small magnet. I started with the Coffee Cup Pop-up (1145). After picking the main color for the card, I transformed the "cup" into a popcorn box using the Popcorn (1295) dies. 

I chose Pecan Pie from Stampin’ Up! instead of the classic red and white. Inside the card, I trimmed part of the cup and glued on two popcorn boxes. To decorate the card further, I used: 

•  Happy Birthday (1030) 
•  Happy Birthday Shadow (1179) 
•  Movie Night Charms (1305) 
•  Spring Animals (1074)

KB Riley LLC June release Blog Hop

Hallo knutselvrienden,

Vandaag is het weer tijd voor de bloghop. Ik heb een leuke kaart verzonnen met de boog. Ik heb er een soort Mickey Mouse van gemaakt. Mijn nichtje was jarig en ik ga ik september met haar naar Disney Wold. Bij een leuke Disney film hoort natuurlijk popcorn. En om het een beetje af te maken heb ik de nieuwe Movie Night charms gebruikt. Ik vind het een leuke set, omdat film kijken een grote hobby van me is.

Today it is time for the blog hop again. I have come up with a nice card with the arch. I made it into a kind of Mickey Mouse. My niece had her birthday and I am going to Disney World with her in September. A nice Disney movie of course includes popcorn. And to finish it off a bit I used the new Movie Night charms. I think it is a nice set, because watching movies is a big hobby of mine.

Laatste sneakpeek voor de blog hop morgen

Vandaag de laatste sneakpeek voordat we morgen de Blog Hop live gooien.

Voor deze kaart heb ik als basis de whirly wheel (1306) gebruikt. Omdat mijn nichtje van Halloween houd heb ik de heks (Witch and Cauldron (1249)) erbij gepakt. Ik heb met de curved edges (1307) een paar wolken gemaakt en daar achter vandaan komt een Happy Birthday. De boom komt uit de Tree Pop-Up Die Set (1005). Om hem toch een beetje als een verjaardagskaart te laten lijken heb ik de cupcakejes uit de Baking Borders (1267) erbij gepakt.

Today the last sneak peek before we launch the Blog Hop tomorrow.

For this card I used the whirly wheel (1306) as a base. Because my niece loves Halloween I used the witch (Witch and Cauldron (1249)). I made a few clouds with the curved edges (1307) and from behind comes a Happy Birthday. The tree is from the Tree Pop-Up Die Set (1005). To make it look a bit like a birthday card I used the cupcakes from the Baking Borders (1267)

Vandaag de derde kaart voor de release. Deze hebben jullie als het goed is al voorbij zien komen in het release filmpje van Karen. Dit is de verjaardagskaart voor mijn man die vandaag jarig is. Omdat onze gezamenlijke hobby "film kijken" is, ben ik los gegaan met de popcorn en de nieuwe movie night chams (1305). Als basis ben ik gaan spelen met de Whirly Wheel (1306). Erg leuk! Natuurlijk moeten er wel leuk diertje aanwezig zijn en heb ik voor de uiltjes gekozen. Deze komen uit de Feathered Animals (1075).

Happy Birthdag hubbie

Today the third card for the release. You may have already seen this in Karen's release video. This is the birthday card for my husband who has his birthday today. Because our shared hobby is "watching movies", I went wild with the popcorn and the new movie night chams (1305). As a base I played with the Whirly Wheel (1306). Very nice! Of course there had to be a nice animal present and I chose the owls. These come from the Feathered Animals (1075).
