Even uitproberen

Zoals jullie de laatste weken hebben gezien, heb ik veel kaarten gemaakt om mensen te troosten. Een kaart heb ik achter gehouden, want die had ik met de nieuwe release dies gemaakt. Ik heb geprobeerd om de kaart een beetje mannelijk te maken en toch wat bloemen te gebruiken. De vlindertjes zijn van Stampin'Up! en een Nederlandse tekst stempel. Er zijn genoeg oudere die geen Engels spreken in Nederland.

Try it out

As you have seen in the last few weeks, I have made many cards to comfort people. I kept a card back, because I had made it with the new release dies. I tried to make the card a bit masculine and still use some flowers. The butterflies are from Stampin' Up! and a Dutch text stamp. 

There are plenty of older people who don't speak English in the Netherlands.

Een opkikker

Even een snel kaartje voor een paar die een opkikker nodig hebben. Dus ik heb mijn kikkers even tevoorschijn gehaald en een basis die ik al klaar had liggen. Ik hoefde alleen maar aan te kleden. Ik heb de Explosion Pop Up gebruikt en toen de bloemen en de kikkers opgeplakt.

A pick-me-up

Just a quick card for a couple in need of a pick-me-up. So I got out my frogs and a base that I already had ready. I just had to get it dressed. I used the Explosion Pop Up and then glued on the flowers and frogs.

Snowfall accents puff paint

Stampin'Up! heeft in de mini catelogus een nieuw product. De Snowfall accents puff paint. Dat doe je op je papier, dan warm je het op met je headgun en dan word het een soort sneeuw/schuim. Deze kaart heb ik al in februari gemaakt, maar toen ik dit puff paint binnen kreeg, moest ik nog op de valreep de kaart pimpen. Dus misschien een uur voordat ik naar de verjaardag van mijn neefje Milan ging, heb ik alle bier op zijn bierkaart even van een mooie schuimkraag voorzien. 

Snowfall accents puff paint

Stampin' Up! has a new product in the mini catalog. The Snowfall accents puff paint. You do that on your paper, then you heat it up with your headgun and then it becomes a kind of snow/foam. I already made this card in February, but when I received this puff paint, I had to pimp the card at the last minute. So maybe an hour before I went to my nephew Milan's birthday, I gave all the beer on his beer card a nice foam head.

Thinking of you

Vandaag een kaart om troost te bieden aan iemand waarvan de vader is overleden. Ik dacht hem een beetje mannelijk te maken. Dus de bloemen zijn eenvoudig en simpel (Marianne Design). Die grote bloem word vastgehouden door een gnoom (Stampin'Up!). Ik vind het een mooie kaart geworden.

Thinking of you

Today a card to offer comfort to someone whose father has passed away. I thought to make him a little manly. So the flowers are plain and simple (Marianne Design). That big flower is being held by a gnome (Stampin' Up!). I think it turned out to be a beautiful card

Nog een baby kaartje

Vandaag een kaartje voor een meisje. Ik heb bij een heerlijk kopje thee de video van de laatste challenge gekeken. Met een hoop vrolijke kleurtjes en de baby charms is het me gelukt. Het ging niet helemaal goed, maar daarom maak ik er altijd twee.

Another baby card

Today a card for a girl. I watched the video of the last challenge over a delicious cup of tea. With a lot of cheerful colors and the baby charms I succeeded. It didn't go quite right, but that's why I always make two.

Rara, wat is het thema?

Normaal als ik een kaart maak met dit thema, dan gebruik ik stempels. Nu wilde ik mezelf uitdagen en kijken of ik een kaart kon maken met het thema Harry Potter met alleen de dies van Karen Burniston. Dat is bijna gelukt. Alleen het vliegende blauwe autootje is van Marianne design. De kasteel heb ik geplaatst door middel van de explosion pop-up.

Normally when I make a card with this theme, I use stamps. Now I wanted to challenge myself and see if I could make a Harry Potter themed card using only Karen Burniston's dies. That almost worked. Only the flying blue car is by Marianne design. I placed the castle using the explosion pop-up.

Ééntjes en nulletjes

Vandaag is Tijmen jarig. En omdat hij iets doet met computers kwam ik op het idee om een kaart te maken van ééntjes en nulletjes. Nou eigenlijk kwam het idee een beetje van Stampin'Up! Die hebben een leuke stempel set met leuke teksten die wat te maken met computers. Ik dacht toen, hoe zal het eruit zien als ik "happy birthday" omzet naar binair. Ik kan je dus vol trots vertellen dat al die ééntjes en nulletjes inderdaad happy birthday in binair is. Deze kaart heb ik ook voor Arnold gemaakt. Die is een poosje geleden al jarig geweest, maar omdat de vrouw van Tijmen altijd mijn kaarten bekijkt, kon ik de kaart nu pas op mijn blog zetten.

Ones and zeros

Today is Tijmen's birthday. And because he does something with computers, I came up with the idea to make a card of ones and zeros. Well, actually, the idea kind of came from Stampin' Up! They have a nice stamp set with texts that have something to do with computers. I then thought, what will it look like if I convert "happy birthday" to binary. So I can proudly tell you that all those ones and zeros is indeed happy birthday in binary. I also made this card for Arnold. It was her birthday a while ago, but because Tijmen's wife always looks at my cards, I was only now able to put the card on my blog.

To jest dziewczyna

Voor de mensen die geen Pools kennen, het is een meisje. Lang leven google translate. Ronald kwam met een verzoek om een baby kaartje te maken voor een collega die weer pappa is geworden. Hij is een Pool. Dus ik dacht, laat ik het door google translate heen halen. Ik heb dus geen idee of het goed is. Ik vertrouw op Goolge. Als je de kaart openmaakt staat er "witaj maleńka", wat "welcome little one" betekend. De wolken kunnen de collega's gebruiken om al hun namen op te zetten. Ook heb ik een Engelse gemaakt. Die is iets anders, omdat de woorden verschillend zijn qua grootte. Ik vind het vrolijke kaarten geworden.

 To jest dziewczyna

For the people who don't know Polish, it's a girl. Long live google translate. Ronald came with a request to make a baby card for a colleague who has become a daddy again. He is a Pole. So I thought, let me run it through google translate. So I have no idea if it's any good. I trust Google. When you open the card it says "witaj maleńka", which means "welcome little one". The clouds can use the colleagues to put up all their names. I also made an English one. It is slightly different, because the words are different in size. I think they have become fun cards.

Liza is jarig

Vandaag is mijn buurmeisje jarig. Ze is drie geworden. Het is echt een schatje. Vooral als ze dag buurvrouw tegen me zegt. Deze kaart heb ik ook in het licht blauw gemaakt. Ik vind de regenboog en eenhoorns altijd zo kleurrijk en vrolijk. Het tovert altijd een lach op mijn gezicht.

It's Liza's birthday

Today is my neighbor's birthday. She turned three. It's really sweet. Especially when she says hello neighbor to me. I also made this card in light blue. I always find the rainbow and unicorns so colorful and cheerful. It always puts a smile on my face.

Bedankt

Vandaag een bedankt kaartje die ik heb gemaakt voor de buren. Zij hebben heel goed voor Blikkie gezorgd toen wij op vakantie waren. Dus naast een merci dacht ik een kaart te maken met een theepot en kopje. Dat past goed bij elkaar vond ik. Nu wonen de buren er nog niet zo lang en weet ik nog niet zo goed wat ze allemaal drinken, maar een kopje thee is altijd goed.

Today a thank you card I made for the neighbors. They took very good care of Blikkie when we were on holiday. So in addition to a merci, I thought I'd make a card with a teapot and cup. I thought that fits well together. Now the neighbors haven't lived there very long and I don't really know what they all drink, but a cup of tea is always good.

Gewoon een kaartje

Soms is een kaartje krijgen gewoon erg leuk. Om te sturen en om te krijgen. Hier twee kaarten die ik heb gemaakt om zomaar te versturen voor mensen die het nodig hebben. Sending a BIG hug vind ik een leuk stukje tekst voor zo een kaart. Het versturen van een knuffel daar hoort een brievenbus bij.

Just a card

Sometimes getting a card is just fun. To send and to receive. Here are two cards I made just to send to people who need them. Sending a BIG hug is a nice piece of text for such a card. So I used the letterbox as pop-up.

Oma geeft er ook altijd eentje

De kaart voor vandaag is ook voor Esther. Mijn moeder geeft al haar kleinkinderen een kaart, dus ik maak er altijd twee. Ik had even met mijn broer gebeld om te vragen waar ze van hield, en sushi vind ze wel lekker. Laat ik nu net leuke stempels binnen hebben gekregen. Ik vind ze wel schattige met die gezichtjes, maar Keyon vind dat niet. Net als dieren die doen als of ze mensen zijn. Dus bijvoorbeeld een kat die recht op loop. Maar ok, ik vind het wel leuk.

Grandma always gives one too

Today's card is also for Esther. My mom gives all her grandkids a card, so I always make two. I called my brother to ask what she liked, and she likes sushi. I just got some nice stamps in. I think they're cute with those faces, but Keyon doesn't. Just like animals pretending to be people. So, for example, a cat that walks straight. But okay, I like it.

Esther 20 jaar!

Hieperdepiep hoera, Esther is 20 jaar! Wat gaat de tijd snel. Ik kan me nog herinneren dat ze was geboren.  Nu is ze met een opleiding bezig tot IC verpleegkundige. Topper. En voor haar verjaardag heb ik een kaart gemaakt met twintig kaarsjes. Ik vond het wel grappig dat Keyon het dan ook meteen ziet en de rest in de kamer heel verbaast kijk. Zo van Oooo echt, twintig kaarsjes? En wat een werk. Als ze honderd word, wil ze een kaart met wel 100 kaarsjes.

Haar lievelingskleur is groen, dus ik heb met mijn mooie groentinten gewerkt.

Hip hip hooray, Esther is 20 years old! Time flies. I can still remember when she was born. She is now training to become an ICU nurse. Top. And for her birthday I made a card with twenty candles. I thought it was funny that Keyon immediately sees it and the rest in the room look very surprised. Like Oooo really, twenty candles? And what a big job. When she turns 100, she wants a card with 100 candles. Her favorite color is green, so I worked with my beautiful shades of green.

Wel 6 jaar

Deze kaart heb ik voor Michelle gemaakt. Ik heb haar op maandag de kaart gegeven en ze mocht kiezen. Of meteen open maken of wachten tot haar verjaardag. Deze stoere vijfjarige koos ervoor om te wachten. Terwijl ze weet dat er een leuke kaart inzit. Op dinsdag mocht ze hem al open maken en ze vond hem geweldig.

I made this card for Michelle. I gave her the card on Monday and she got to choose. Open it right away or wait until her birthday. This tough five-year-old chose to wait. While she knows that there is a nice card in it. On Tuesday she was allowed to open it and she loved it.

Alweer 1 jaar

Vandaag is Daan 1 jaar geworden. Vorig jaar heb ik een geboortekaartje gekregen en heb ik een leuke kaart gemaakt. Omdat ik dit jaar 50 ben geworden vond ik het leuk om voor Daan zijn eerste verjaardag een leuke kaart te maken.

Dit is de eerste designer challenge als Design team lid van Karen Burniston. Mijn thema is "Labels". Ik moet een kaart maken met een die met label in de titel. Of zo iets. Ik had meteen een leuk idee. Ik heb de Little Labels pop-up gebruikt om bergen te plaatsten. De kaarten die ik heb gemaakt waren voor drie mannen. Ze gingen met de explo's (Keyon) op zomerkamp naar Zwitserland.Dus naast de bergen vond ik een vrolijk zonnetje nodig. Ze hebben schitterend weer gehad.

My first Designer Challenge

This is the first designer challenge as a Design team member of Karen Burniston. My theme is "Labels". I need to make a card with one with label in the title. Or something. I immediately had a great idea. I used the Little Labels pop-up to place mountains. The cards I made were for three men. They went with the explos (Keyon) on a summer camp to Switzerland. So next to the mountains I thought I needed a cheerful sun. They have had wonderful weather.

Ik denk aan je - nummer 3

En dan nu de laatste kaart in de serie "ik denk aan je" kaart. Voor deze kaart heb ik de Heart Collage Pop-up gebruikt met de Butterfly's add-ons. Een kaart met een hoop vlinders. Ook weer de Nederlandse tekst "ik denk aan je". Ook nummer 3 vind ik aardig gelukt. 

I'm thinking of you - number 3

And now the last card in the series "I'm thinking of you" card. For this card I used the Heart Collage Pop-up with the Butterfly's add-ons. A card with a lot of butterflies. Also the Dutch text "I think of you". I also think number 3 turned out pretty well.
