Verjaardag van mijn moeder

Hier een kaartje die ik voor de verjaardag van mijn moeder heb gemaakt. Ik ben even gaan zoeken tussen de video's van Karen. Daar vond ik er eentje met de Fancy Label Accordion (1043). En wel gestapeld. Ik heb hem niet hetzelfde nagemaakt. Ik was de plek voor een charm helemaal vergeten. Heel jammer, maar hij zal al zover in elkaar dat ik dat meer heb weggelaten. De giraffen komen van Marianne Design en de bloemen van Lawn Fawn.

Het design papier is met een giraffen motief en op de voorkant zit de Happy Birthday van Karen.

My mother's birthday

Here is a card I made for my mother's birthday. I went looking through Karen's videos. There I found one with the Fancy Label Accordion (1043). And stacked. I didn't make it the same. I completely forgot the place for a charm. Too bad, but the card was already so far together that I left that out. The giraffes are from Marianne Design and the flowers from Lawn Fawn.

The design paper has a giraffe motif and on the front is Karen's Happy Birthday.

 

KB Riley LLC January release Blog Hop

Tijd voor de bloghop kaart en ik  heb gekozen voor de nieuwe Triple Platform Pop-up (1300). Ik vond nog wat papier met theezakjes, dus ik heb de tea and coffee pop-up (1269) er ook even bijgepakt. Bij een kopje thee hoort natuurlijk iets lekkers. De cupcake Add-ons is 1 van mijn favorieten om erbij te pakken voor wat cupcakejes. Even een mooi randje uit de Border Blends - trims (1186) en een schrijfstukje uit de Short Rectangles - crosshatch (1199).

Time for the bloghop card and I chose the new Triple Platform Pop-up (1300). I found some paper with tea bags, so I also grabbed the tea and coffee pop-up (1269). With a cup of tea, of course, something tasty goes well. The cupcake Add-ons is one of my favorites to grab for some cupcakes. Just a nice border from the Border Blends - trims (1186) and a writing piece from the Short Rectangles - crosshatch (1199).

Sneakpeek dag 5

Nu dan een kaart met de Flower Pot Pop-up met bloemen. Ik heb de nieuwe Flower Pot Add-ons (1294) erbij gepakt om de bloempot er als een glue-in in te doen. De stammetjes met blaadjes (ja ik zit nog steeds in die bus in Thailand, dus zou even niet weten hoe ik dat het beste kan omschrijven) kan je dubbel vouwen. Daar worden ze steviger van en je kan ze dan makkelijker bevestigen aan het raamwerk. Ook heb ik een Bouquet Bits (1293) gebruikt. Met deze dies kun je je boeket opfleuren. Omdat dit een gecondoleerd kaart is heb ik niet al te gek gedaan. Het schrijfgedeelte komt uit de Short Rectangles Crosshatch.

Now a card with the Flower Pot Pop-up with flowers. I used the new Flower Pot Add-ons (1294) to put the flower pot in as a glue-in. You can fold the stems with leaves (yes, I'm still in that bus in Thailand, so I don't know how to describe it best) in half. This makes them sturdier and you can attach them more easily to the frame. I also used a Bouquet Bits (1293). You can brighten up your bouquet with these dies. Because this is a condolence card, I didn't do too crazy. The writing part comes from the Short Rectangles Crosshatch.

Dag 4, de papieren mensen

Als basis ben ik begonnen met de Adirondack Chair Pop-up (1071). Als achtergrond heb ik de Outdoor Scene gebruikt. De stoel heb ik als een glue-in gemaakt, Ik heb wat geruit papier gepakt en ben toen met de Paper People (1299) gaan spelen. Eentje klimpt op de stoel, eentje zit op de leuning en de laatste is aan het vissen. De hengel en zo komen uit de nieuwe Fishing Boat Ad-ons. Deze heeft ook een paar visjes. In de emmer zit wat vis wat ze gevangen hebben. 

 As a base I started with the Adirondack Chair Pop-up (1071). As a background I used the Outdoor Scene. I made the chair as a glue-in, I took some checkered paper and then started playing with the Paper People (1299). One is climbing on the chair, one is sitting on the armrest and the last one is fishing. The fishing rod and such are from the new Fishing Boat Ad-ons. This one also has a few fish. In the bucket are some fish that they caught.

Dag 3 van de sneakpeek week

Nu is het tijd voor de Flower Pot Pop-up Die Set (1010). Daar zijn in deze release twee aanvullingen voor gemaakt. De Flower Pot Add-ons (1294) is gemaakt om de flowerpot nu als een glue in te doen. Dit is een stuk makkelijker. Daarnaast hebben we nu een popcorn (1295) die perfect op de flowerpot past. Ik ben begonnen met een leuk DSP papiertje en heb zo de kleuren bepaald. Niet standaard de rood/wit. Ik hou ook altijd wel van een soort grapje, dus ik heb mijn Tiny Gnomes erbij gepakt. Je zal hem maar zo in je popcorn vinden. De kaart is afgemaakt met een Happy Birthday en een ovaal om wat op te schrijven. 

Now it's time for the Flower Pot Pop-up Die Set (1010). Two additions have been made for this release. The Flower Pot Add-ons (1294) are made to put the flower pot in as a glue. This is a lot easier. In addition, we now have a popcorn (1295) that fits perfectly on the flower pot. I started with a nice DSP paper and determined the colors. Not the standard red/white. I also always like a kind of joke, so I took my Tiny Gnomes. You'll find him in your popcorn. The card is finished with a Happy Birthday and an oval to write something on.

Sneakpeek 2, Triple Platform Pop-up

Vandaag een kaart met de nieuwe Triple Platform Pop-up (1300). Ik heb me laten inspireren door een oud dsp die ik nog vond. Daar stonden postzegels op en moest gelijk aan de Postage pop-up (1291) denken. Om ze aan te kleden heb ik de bloemen uit de nieuwe Flower Pot Add-ons (1294) gepakt. Wat een leuke bloemen. Weer helemaal verliefd. Ik heb wel weer even mijn old time favoriet erbij gepakt. De Fun Flowers (1234). Daar het ik de stam met blad uit gebruikt en de rondjes om in het midden van de bloemen te plakken. Ik kan er even niet opkomen hoe we dit altijd noemen. Ik zit dit te typen in een bus van Hua Hin naar Bangkok. Mijn reis zit er bijna op, maar even vooruit werken is misschien wel prettig. Maar goed, als je naar de foto kijkt is het wel duidelijk, hoop ik ;-). Ik heb ook de stempels gebruikt die bij de Postage pop-up (1291) horen.

Sneak peek 2, Triple Platform Pop-up

Today a card with the new Triple Platform Pop-up (1300). I was inspired by an old dsp that I found. It had stamps on it and I immediately thought of the Postage pop-up (1291). To dress them up I used the flowers from the new Flower Pot Add-ons (1294). What lovely flowers. Totally in love again. I did use my old time favourite again. The Fun Flowers (1234). I used the stem with leaves from it and the circles to stick in the middle of the flowers. I can't remember what we always call this. I'm typing this on a bus from Hua Hin to Bangkok. My journey is almost over, but working ahead might be nice. Anyway, if you look at the photo it's clear, I hope ;-). I also used the stamps that go with the Postage pop-up (1291).

De eerste Sneakpeek

Vandaag is het weer zover. De nieuwe release is er weer. Ik begin met de cruise schip. Een kaartje voor een goede reis. Ik ben begonnen met de Cruise Schip add-on (1296). Nadat mijn cruise schip was gebouwd, moest ik iets verzinnen zodat de kaart logisch werd. Bij het bekijken van de add-ons viel me op dat de lifebootjes wel leuk waren om een streeptjes lijn te maken. Een soort route die het schip gaat afleggen tussen de eilandjes. De eilandjes heb ik gemaakt met de Tropical Scene (1038). De Bon Voyage heb ik met het Alphabet (1053). Het rondje om wat op te schrijven is van de Circles - Crosshatch (1057). Uiteindelijk vind ik de kaart erg leuk geworden.

First Sneakpeek

Today is the day again. The new release is here again. I'll start with the cruise ship. A card for a good trip. I started with the Cruise Ship add-on (1296). After my cruise ship was built, I had to come up with something so that the card would make sense. When looking at the add-ons, I noticed that the lifeboats were fun to make a dashed line. A kind of route that the ship will travel between the islands. I made the islands with the Tropical Scene (1038). I made the Bon Voyage with the Alphabet (1053). The circle to write something on is from the Circles - Crosshatch (1057). In the end, I think the map turned out really nice.

 

Designer challenge 89 "first 100"

Vandaag is het tijd voor de challenge kaart. Nu dacht ik mijn blog te hebben geschreven en alleen moest live gooien. Helaas, dus nu zit ik in een bus in Thailand dit even te doen.

De challenge was om van de eerste 100 dies een kaart te maken. Ik heb dus maar de eerste gepakt. De tree pop-up. De dag voordat mijn man en ik vertrokken was er nog een crematie, dus ik vond het wel een goeie om de challenge en crematie te combineren. Ik heb van de boom een boeket bloemen gemaakt. De bloemen zijn ook van een die set van de eerste 100. Op de voorkant heb ik, ik ben een beginner, met calligraveren geprobeert " sterkte" te schrijven. Dat is volgens mij wel aardig gelukt. Ik heb in de bus niet de middelen om de nummers van de dies op te zoeken, maar je kunt ze allemaal tussen de eerste 100 vinden. Ik ga zo de bus uit en dan gaan de de drijvende markt bezoeken.

Today it is time for the challenge card. Now I thought I had written my blog and just had to throw it live. Unfortunately, so now I'm sitting on a bus in Thailand doing this. 

The challenge was to make a card of the first 100 dies. So I just took the first one. The tree popup. The day before my husband and I left there was cremation, so I thought it would be a good idea to combine the challenge and cremation. I made a bouquet of flowers from the tree. The flowers are also from a set of the first 100. On the front, as I am a beginner, I tried to write "strength" with calligraphy. I think that turned out pretty well. I don't have the resources on the bus to look up the die numbers, but you can find them all among the first 100. I'm going to get off the bus and then go visit the floating market.

Tijd voor vakantie

Over een paar uur ga ik met mijn man op vakantie. Even er tussen uit. We vliegen naar Thailand. Daar is het warmer dan op dit moment in Nederland. Ik doe vandaag geen kaart, maar een soort boekje. Nou ja het is ook geen boekje. Ik weet gewoon even niet zo goed hoe ik het moet noemen. Als je het boekje openmaakt is er een soort boekenkast te zien. De boeken zijn van Marianne Design. Die van Karen vond ik net iets te klein. De Happy Birthday komt uit de Happy Birthday Lorna Label add-ons (1276). Ik gebruik die wel een vaker, het is namelijk een leuk formaatje.

Ik heb wat digitale foto's meegenomen en zal proberen om af en toe een blog te schrijven, maar ik kan niks beloven. Ik ben weer op tijd terug voor de release.

Time for vacation

In a few hours I'm going on vacation with my husband. Just a short break. We're flying to Thailand. It's warmer there than it is in the Netherlands at the moment. I'm not doing a card today, but a kind of booklet. Well, it's not a booklet either. I just don't really know what to call it. When you open the booklet you see a kind of bookcase. The books are from Marianne Design. I thought the one from Karen was a bit too small. The Happy Birthday is from the Happy Birthday Lorna Label add-ons (1276). I use that die often, it's a nice size.

I brought some digital photos and will try to write a blog every now and then, but I can't promise anything. I'll be back in time for the release.

Gelukkig nieuwjaar!

Ik zit momenteel met wat drinken en mijn pootje om hoog naar de tv te kijken. Over een paar uur luiden we hier 2025 in. Ik dacht, laten we precies om 00:00 uur een blog live gooien. De kaart is met de Photo fan pop-up gemaakt. Ik had van een ander merk een grote pauwenveer en dus besloot ik een soort pauw te maken. Eigenlijk is het een muis die verkleed is als pauw. Het was even puzzelen, maar uit eindelijk is hij eigenlijk wel leuk geworden. Om hem even af te maken heb ik de happy birthday (1030), een label (Labels - Crosshatch, 1184) en een mooi randje (Border Blends - Trims, 1186) gebruikt.

Happy New Year!

I am currently sitting with a drink and my legs up watching TV. In a few hours it will be 2025. I thought, let's launch a blog at exactly 00:00. The card was made with the Photo fan pop-up. I had a large peacock feather from another brand and so I decided to make a kind of peacock. Actually it is a mouse dressed up as a peacock. It took some puzzling, but in the end it actually turned out nice. To finish it off I used the happy birthday (1030), a label (Labels - Crosshatch, 1184) and a nice border (Border Blends - Trims, 1186).
