Four Thank You Cards for Some Amazing Helpers

Vandaag niet één kaart, maar vier kaarten. Ze zijn allemaal hetzelfde, maar ze moesten wel gemaakt worden. Ik kreeg een verzoek om vier bedankkaartjes te maken voor mensen die hadden geholpen met het schoonmaken van een huis.
Ik heb allerlei die-sets gebruikt. Waar zal ik eens beginnen. Het mechanisme komt uit de Tea and Coffee Pop-up (1269). Deze heb ik gebruikt omdat ik een dweil en een emmer wilde maken.
Voor de emmer ben ik door allerlei dies gegaan en uiteindelijk kwam ik uit bij de Popcorn (1295). Die vorm werkte perfect. Voor de steel van de dweil heb ik de Pirate Ship Add-ons (1280) gebruikt. De mast bleek precies goed te zijn.
De bubbeltjes heb ik gemaakt met de kleine rondjes uit de Fun Flowers (1234). Als diertjes heb ik de nijlpaardjes gekozen. Als grapje heb ik het nijlpaard in de emmer een snorkel gegeven. De snorkel komt uit Tiny Accessories 4 (1259).
Om de kaart verder af te maken heb ik nog een randje gebruikt uit Border Blends - Trims (1186), een Thank You (1066) en een schrijfgedeelte gemaakt met Labels - Crosshatch (1184).

Today I’m sharing not just one card, but four cards. They are all the same design, but they needed to be made. I received a request to create four thank you cards for people who helped clean out a house.I used quite a few different die sets. Where to start. The mechanism comes from the Tea and Coffee Pop-up (1269). I chose this one because I wanted to create a mop and bucket scene.
For the bucket I looked through several dies and eventually ended up using the Popcorn (1295) die, which turned out to be the perfect shape. For the mop handle I used the Pirate Ship Add-ons (1280). The mast worked perfectly.
The bubbles were made using the small circle pieces from the Fun Flowers (1234) die set. For the characters I chose the hippos. As a little joke, I gave the hippo sitting in the bucket a snorkel. The snorkel comes from Tiny Accessories 4 (1259).
To finish the card I added a border from Border Blends - Trims (1186), a Thank You (1066), and a writing area using Labels - Crosshatch (1184).

Een Mario Kart Pop-up

Vandaag een kaart voor mijn neefje. Op het laatste moment bedacht. Hij appte dat hij wel weer een keertje Mario Kart tegen Keyon wilde spelen op de Switch. Ik had net nieuwe dies van Carlijn gekocht, dus dat was een mooie aanleiding om daar meteen iets mee te doen.

Het werd een slimline kaart. Als pop-up mechanisme heb ik de Little Labels Pop-Up (1183) gebruikt. Met de Long Nature Edges (1152) heb ik het gras gemaakt zodat het een beetje op een Mario landschap lijkt. De ovaal komt uit de Ovals - Crosshatch (1055).

Today I’m sharing a card I made for my nephew. It was a bit of a last-minute idea. He texted that he wanted to play Mario Kart with Keyon again on the Switch. I had just bought some new dies from Carlijn, so it felt like the perfect moment to use them.

I decided to make a slimline card. For the pop-up mechanism I used the Little Labels Pop-Up (1183). The grass was created with the Long Nature Edges (1152) to give it a bit of that Mario landscape feel. The oval comes from the Ovals - Crosshatch (1055).

Karen Burniston Designer Challenge 103 – Birds

Vandaag is het weer tijd voor de challenge kaart. Deze maand is het thema "Birds". Na even nadenken kreeg ik ineens een leuk idee: Angry Birds!

Ik heb afbeeldingen van Angry Birds uitgeprint en uitgeknipt. Daarna begon het puzzelen: hoe verwerk ik deze in een leuke pop-up kaart? De stellage van stenen en hout uit het spel bracht mij op een idee. Wat als ik die constructie nabouw?

Als basis gebruikte ik de House of Cards Pop-up (1242). Met Smoky Slate cardstock en een stenenstempel maakte ik eerst de basis van de stellage. Daarna heb ik met designpapier houten planken toegevoegd om het geheel echt op het spel te laten lijken.

De kaart is uiteindelijk een soort boekmodel geworden. Voor de teksten gebruikte ik het Alphabet (1053) en de Mini Alphabet and Numbers (1197). De banner uit de Greeting Labels (1312) blijft één van mijn favorieten en paste perfect bij deze kaart.

Today it’s time for the Designer Challenge card again, and this month’s theme is "Birds". After thinking for a bit, I suddenly had a fun idea: Angry Birds!

I printed and fussy-cut some Angry Birds images and then started figuring out how to turn them into an pop-up card. The stone and wooden structure from the game inspired me to recreate that construction using paper.

I used the House of Cards Pop-up (1242) as the base of the card. Using Smoky Slate cardstock and a brick stamp, I created the stone structure first. Then I added wooden planks made from patterned paper to mimic the look from the game.

The card turned into a booklet-style design. For the sentiments I used the Alphabet (1053) and Mini Alphabet and Numbers (1197). The banner from the Greeting Labels (1312) worked perfectly for this project.

Cupcakejes en kuikentjes

Vandaag laat ik een kaart zien die ik maakte voor mijn schoonmoeder. Voor deze kaart heb ik de Landscape Rectangle Accordion (1198) gebruikt als basis, gecombineerd met de Cupcake Add-ons (1241).

Als diertje heb ik gekozen voor het schattige kuikentje uit de Spring Animals (1074). Dat past perfect bij een vrolijke verjaardagskaart.

Ook op deze kaart heb ik weer de Happy Birthday uit de Word Set 2 – Birthday Die Set (1003) gebruikt, samen met de banner uit de Greeting Labels (1312). Ik vind dat deze twee dies echt perfect bij elkaar passen.

Om de kaart extra feestelijk te maken, heb ik een heleboel slingertjes opgeplakt. Deze komen uit de Cupcake Add-ons (1241).

Today I’m sharing a card I made for my mother-in-law. For this card I used the Landscape Rectangle Accordion (1198) as the base, combined with the Cupcake Add-ons (1241).

For the character, I chose the adorable chick from the Spring Animals (1074). It fits perfectly with a cheerful birthday card.

I once again used the Happy Birthday from the Word Set 2 – Birthday Die Set (1003), together with the banner from the Greeting Labels (1312). I really think these two dies are a perfect match.

To make the card even more festive, I added lots of streamers from the Cupcake Add-ons (1241).

Drumsticks & Drumsticks

Deze kaart is gemaakt voor een vriend van mijn zoon. Dit jaar gaan we proberen om voor iedereen die zijn of haar verjaardag viert een kaart te maken. Die geeft hij dan als cadeautje. Handig, zo’n moeder. Ik heb hem wel gezegd dat hij niet op het laatste moment moet komen. Met deze kaart was hij gelukkig op tijd.

Hij had een cd gekocht en de ontvanger houdt van drummen. Dus ik kwam al snel uit op een muziekkaart met drumsticks. DRUMSTICKS! Ja, dit zijn stokjes én kip. Dus ik heb zowel drumstokjes als kipdrumsticks gebruikt in deze kaart.

Als basis heb ik de House & Fence Pop-up (1015) weer eens tevoorschijn gehaald. Ik heb het platform een stukje verlengd zodat de lp erop paste.

Om de kaart aan te kleden heb ik “to you” toegevoegd en daar wat feestvarkens tussen geplaatst uit de Chicken, Pig and Lamb (1092). De feestmuts komt uit de Birthday Charms Die Set (1004).

Om het feest helemaal af te maken heb ik met het Alphabet (1053) een speels “Happy Birthday” op de voorkant gemaakt en een heleboel slingertjes toegevoegd uit de Cupcake Add-ons (1241). De drumsticks (van de kip) heb ik met mijn ScanNCut uitgesneden.

This card was made for a friend of my son. This year we’re trying to make a birthday card for everyone celebrating their birthday, and he gives it as part of the gift. Handy to have a crafty mom. I did tell him not to wait until the last minute. Luckily, this time he was on time.

He had bought a CD and the recipient loves drumming. So I quickly came up with a music-themed card featuring drumsticks. DRUMSTICKS! Yes — both drum sticks and chicken drumsticks. So I used both kinds in this card.

As the base, I brought out the House & Fence Pop-up (1015) again. I extended it slightly so the record would fit.

To decorate the card, I added “to you” and placed some party pigs from the Chicken, Pig and Lamb (1092). The party hat comes from the Birthday Charms Die Set (1004).

To finish the celebration, I created a playful “Happy Birthday” on the front using the Alphabet (1053) and added lots of streamers from the Cupcake Add-ons (1241). The chicken drumsticks were cut with my ScanNCut machine.

Inspired by a Zoom Class

Vandaag laat ik de tweede kaart zien die ik maakte voor mijn nichtje. Mijn moeder (oma) wil haar kleinkinderen ook altijd een mooie kaart geven. Daarom maak ik er meestal twee, zodat mijn moeder ook een speciale kaart kan geven.

Deze kaart is geïnspireerd op een kaart die Karen heeft bedacht voor een zoomles in januari 2025. Je begint met een kaartbasis en de Tag Book Pop-up (1023).

Daarnaast heb ik een oudere die erbij gepakt: de Cupcake Pop-Up Die Set (1008). Ik heb zowel de grote als de kleine cupcakejes gebruikt. In de cupcakes heb ik de verjaardagskaarsjes uit de Party Stage Add-ons (1335) geplaatst.

De tekst Happy Birthday komt uit de Word Set 2 – Birthday Die Set (1003) en past perfect op de grote banner uit de Greeting Labels (1312).

Today I’m sharing the second card I made for my niece. My mother (grandma) always likes to give her grandchildren a beautiful card as well, so I usually make two cards so she can give one too.

This card was inspired by a design Karen created for a Zoom class in January 2025. You start with a card base and the Tag Book Pop-up (1023).

I also used an older die set: the Cupcake Pop-Up Die Set (1008). I included both the large and small cupcakes. I placed the birthday candles from the Party Stage Add-ons (1335) into the cupcakes.

The Happy Birthday sentiment comes from the Word Set 2 – Birthday Die Set (1003) and fits perfectly on the large banner from the Greeting Labels (1312).

Happy 15

Vandaag laat ik een kaart zien die ik maakte voor mijn nichtje. Op 6 februari is ze alweer 15 geworden en gisteren hebben we dat gevierd.

Ik had nog een foto over van de sneakpeek en die heb ik voor deze kaart gebruikt. Eerst heb ik kleine fotootjes uitgeknipt. Omdat de schattige diertjes op de foto bloemen vasthouden, heb ik het nieuwe bloemetje uit de Grass Stage Add-ons (1333) erbij gepakt. Ik ben echt helemaal weg van dit bloemetje.

Als basis heb ik de Photo Gallery Pop-up (1331) gebruikt. Ook deze die vind ik echt geweldig om mee te werken. Op de voorkant heb ik nog een wit konijntje gebruikt dat ik over had. Met het Alphabet (1053) heb ik een speels “Happy Birthday” gemaakt.

Today I’m sharing a card I made for my niece. On February 6th she turned 15 already, and we celebrated it yesterday.

I still had a photo left from the sneak peek projects and decided to use it for this card. I cut the pictures into smaller pieces. Since the cute little animals in the photo are holding flowers, I added the new flower from the Grass Stage Add-ons (1333). I absolutely love this flower.

I used the Photo Gallery Pop-up (1331) as the base of the card. I really enjoy working with this die. On the front, I added a white bunny that I still had left over. With the Alphabet (1053), I created a playful “Happy Birthday” sentiment.

Final Sneak Peek

De laatste sneakpeek kaart die ik nog over had is een thank you kaart. Voor deze kaart heb ik de Lorna Label Pop-up (1266) gecombineerd met de Thank You Lorna Add-ons (1329).

In deze add-ons zit een geweldig bloemetje en dat heb ik natuurlijk gebruikt. De konijntjes komen uit de Spring Animals (1074). De gezichtjes heb ik erop gestempeld met de Fun Faces Clear Stamps 1 (CS023).

Het schrijfgedeelte is gemaakt met de Oval – Crosshatch (1055). Deze heb ik ook op de voorkant gebruikt. Met de Word Set 4 – Just a Note (1027) heb ik de tekst “Just a note to say” geplakt. Met nog wat bloemetjes en een extra konijntje is mijn schattige thank you kaart af.

Dit was de laatste kaart die ik heb gemaakt voor de januari 2026 release. Morgen laat ik weer een andere kaart zien, want dan is mijn schoonmoeder jarig.

The final sneak peek card I had left is a thank you card. For this card I combined the Lorna Label Pop-up (1266) with the Thank You Lorna Add-ons (1329).

The add-ons include an adorable flower, which I had to use. The bunnies come from the Spring Animals (1074). I stamped their little faces using the Fun Faces Clear Stamps 1 (CS023).

The writing area was created with the Oval – Crosshatch (1055), which I also used on the front of the card. The sentiment “Just a note to say” comes from the Word Set 4 – Just a Note (1027). With a few extra flowers and another bunny, this sweet thank you card was finished.

This was the last card I made for the January 2026 release. Tomorrow I’ll be sharing a different card, as it will be my mother-in-law’s birthday.

Christmas on Stage

Vandaag laat ik een leuke kerstkaart zien. Tijdens de release had ik bijna dezelfde kaart al gepost, maar het grote verschil is dat deze niet in een kaart zit. Dit is dus een stand-alone project.

Ik vind deze die echt geweldig. Er zijn zoveel leuke mogelijkheden en ik weet zeker dat we hier nog heel veel mooie kaarten mee gaan maken.

Today I’m sharing a fun Christmas card. During the release I posted a very similar project, but the big difference is that this one is not built into a card. This is a stand-alone piece.

I absolutely love this die. There are so many fun possibilities and I’m sure we’ll be creating lots of beautiful cards with it.

Love You with Candy Hearts

Vandaag nog een kaart met de Lorna Label Pop-up (1266) en de Love You Lorna Add-ons (1328). Een fijne combinatie om mee te werken.

Om de kaart te versieren heb ik een heleboel snoephartjes uitgedraaid. Deze komen uit de Candy Hearts Box (1256). Voor het schrijfgedeelte heb ik een hartje gebruikt uit de Hearts – Crosshatch (1191).

Als diertje heb ik gekozen voor de leeuw uit de Monkey and Lion (1187). Op de voorkant heb ik gewerkt met de Rectangles and Labels – Crosshatch (1233) en de tekst You’re Sweet (1087).

Today I’m sharing another card made with the Lorna Label Pop-up (1266) and the Love You Lorna Add-ons (1328). Such a fun combination to use.

To decorate the card, I cut a whole bunch of candy hearts from the Candy Hearts Box (1256). For the writing area I used a heart from the Hearts – Crosshatch (1191).

For the character I chose the lion from the Monkey and Lion (1187). On the front of the card I used the Rectangles and Labels – Crosshatch (1233) together with the sentiment You’re Sweet (1087).

Sailing the Stage

Vandaag laat ik mijn stage kaart met schip zien, maar dit keer verwerkt in een kaart. Omdat het schip nu boven op het water vaart, moest ik even goed nadenken over de opbouw.

Ik ben begonnen met een blauwe stage met water, gemaakt met de Stage Pop-up (1332) en de Sea Stage Add-ons (1334). Let bij het maken van een stage in een kaart goed op het formaat van de kaart. Als de kaart niet groot genoeg is, steekt de stage uit de kaart.

Daarna was het tijd om het schip te maken. Hiervoor heb ik de Boat Pop-up (1277) en de Pirate Ship Add-ons (1280) gebruikt. 

In mijn vorige kaart, het onderwater gezonken schip, gebruikte ik voor de versiering de dolfijn uit de Leaping Animals (1301). Ik ben daar helemaal verliefd op, dus voor deze kaart heb ik er heel veel gemaakt.

Dolfijnen zwemmen vaak mee met schepen, dus dat doen die van mij ook. Omdat ik er schattige meisjesdolfijnen van wilde maken, hebben ze allemaal een bloemetje gekregen. Om het schip een feestelijke uitstraling te geven, heb ik een border aan de boeg gemaakt met de Border Blends – Party (1091).

Het schrijfgedeelte en het kader op de voorkant zijn gemaakt met de Circles – Crosshatch (1057). Als laatste heb ik nog een Happy Birthday (1030) toegevoegd en zo is deze kaart ontstaan.

Today I’m sharing my stage card with a ship, this time built inside a card. Because the ship is sailing on top of the water, I had to think carefully about the construction.

I started with a blue stage and water using the Stage Pop-up (1332) and the Sea Stage Add-ons (1334). When placing a stage inside a card, be sure to check the card size. If the card isn’t large enough, the stage will stick out.

Next it was time to build the ship. For this I used the Boat Pop-up (1277) and the Pirate Ship Add-ons (1280). 

In my previous card, the underwater sunken ship, I used the dolphin from the Leaping Animals (1301). I completely fell in love with it, so I made lots of them for this card.

Dolphins often swim alongside ships, so mine do too. To turn them into cute girl dolphins, I gave each one a little flower. To make the ship look festive, I added a border to the bow using Border Blends – Party (1091).

The writing area and the frame on the front were made with the Circles – Crosshatch (1057). To finish the card, I added a Happy Birthday (1030).

En nu de rest van mijn release kaarten

Na een dagje rust heb ik besloten om jullie te verrassen met de rest van mijn release kaarten. Natuurlijk niet allemaal in één blog. Ik begin met de thank you kaart die ik nog niet eerder heb laten zien.

Voor deze kaart ben ik gestart met de Lorna Label Pop-up (1266) en de nieuwe Thank You Lorna Add-ons (1329). Ik hou van bloemen, dus ik ben even gaan kijken welke set hier mooi bij zou passen. Uiteindelijk kwam ik uit bij de Flower Pot Add-ons (1294).

Om de tekst Thank You mooi uit te laten komen heb ik de Word Set 15 – Just Because (1205) gebruikt. Voor het schrijfgedeelte heb ik de Rectangles and Labels – Crosshatch (1233) gebruikt. Aan de voorkant heb ik met de Rectangles – Crosshatch (1054) een border gemaakt.

After a day of rest, I decided to surprise you with the rest of my release cards. Of course not all in one blog post. I’m starting with the thank you card that I haven’t shared yet.

For this card I started with the Lorna Label Pop-up (1266) and the new Thank You Lorna Add-ons (1329). I love flowers, so I looked through my dies to find a set that would fit nicely. I ended up choosing the Flower Pot Add-ons (1294).

To make the Thank You sentiment stand out, I used the Word Set 15 – Just Because (1205). For the writing area I used the Rectangles and Labels – Crosshatch (1233). On the front of the card I created a border using the Rectangles – Crosshatch (1054).

Karen Burniston Designer Challenge 102 – Love is in the air

Ik hoop dat jullie de release van deze week en de blog hop van gisteren leuk vonden. Het was even veel bloggen achter elkaar. Vandaag is het dus tijd voor de challenge kaart met het thema “Love is in the air”.

Ik heb het thema een beetje letterlijk genomen. Ik heb het woord LOVE uit de Sending Love (1190) op wolken gezet. De wolken komen uit twee nieuwe diesets: de Love Is In The Air Charms (1326) en de Hot Air Balloons (1327).

De basis van de kaart is de Landscape Rectangle Accordion (1198). Ik heb de kaart aangekleed met wat uiltjes uit de Feathered Animals (1075). De strikjes, hartjes en de roos komen ook uit de Love Is In The Air Charms (1326).

I took the theme quite literally and placed the word LOVE from the Sending Love (1190) on clouds. The clouds come from two new die sets: the Love Is In The Air Charms (1326) and the Hot Air Balloons (1327).

The base of the card is the Landscape Rectangle Accordion (1198). I decorated the card with little owls from the Feathered Animals (1075). The bows, hearts, and rose also come from the Love Is In The Air Charms (1326).

KB Riley LLC januari 2026 release Blog Hop

Vandaag is het tijd voor de blog hop van de Karen Burniston januari 2026 release.

Mijn Blog Hop kaart voor deze release is een kaart gemaakt met de nieuwe Photo Gallery Pop-up (1331). Ik heb weer wat leuke fotootjes laten afdrukken. Op deze foto’s staan diertjes met strikjes, dus ben ik op zoek gegaan naar een mooi strikje. Die heb ik gevonden in de Gift Pivot Panels.

De bloemen komen uit de Fun Flowers en de nieuwe Grass Stage Add-ons (1333). Die margrietjes zijn echt waanzinnig gaaf. Het schrijfstukje komt uit de Greetings Labels (1312). Ook het vierkantje op de voorkant komt uit de Greetings Labels. De tekst op het vierkantje komt uit de stempelset CS008 Photo Memories. Als laatste heb ik de Hello (1166) toegevoegd.

My Blog Hop card for this release is made with the new Photo Gallery Pop-up (1331). I printed some fun photos again, featuring little animals with bows. So I went searching for the perfect bow and found it in the Gift Pivot Panels.

The flowers come from the Fun Flowers and the new Grass Stage Add-ons (1333). Those daisies are absolutely amazing. The writing area is made with the Greetings Labels (1312), and the square on the front also comes from the Greetings Labels. The sentiment on the square is from the stamp set CS008 Photo Memories. To finish it off, I added the Hello (1166).

Ik had al wat voorbereidingen getroffen, maar toen mijn dies binnenkwamen en ik echt aan de slag ging, ontdekte ik dat de Stage Pop-up niet in een kaart van 14,5 x 14,5 cm past. De kaart is daarom nu 14,5 x 17,5 cm geworden.

Op mijn Stage heb ik een kerstboom geplaatst uit de Christmas Trees Pop Stand (1064). Deze kerstboom zet je het mooist neer met een tree skirt. Die heb ik gemaakt met een hexagon uit de Hexagons Crosshatch (1225).

Om de scène verder aan te kleden heb ik een kerstman gemaakt uit de Gnome and Santa (1129), een rendier uit de Christmas Animals (1061) en cadeautjes en candycanes uit de Stocking Pop-up (1248).

Het schrijfgedeelte is gemaakt met de Labels Crosshatch (1184). Op de voorkant heb ik met de Rectangles and Labels - Crosshatch (1233) een kader gemaakt, afgewerkt met de Merry Christmas (1065) en de Merry Christmas Shadow (1177).

This is the final sneak peek of the week: Christmas in February. Today I’m sharing card number five. For this project, I used the Stage Pop-up (1332) inside a card.

I had already done some preparations, but when my dies arrived and I started working, I discovered that the Stage Pop-up does not fit into a 14.5 x 14.5 cm card. So the final card size became 14.5 x 17.5 cm.

On my stage, I placed a Christmas tree from the Christmas Trees Pop Stand (1064). This tree looks best with a tree skirt, which I made using a hexagon from the Hexagons Crosshatch (1225).

To decorate the scene, I added a Santa from the Gnome and Santa (1129), a reindeer from the Christmas Animals (1061), and gifts and candy canes from the Stocking Pop-up (1248).

The writing area was made using the Labels Crosshatch (1184). On the front of the card, I created a frame with the Rectangles and Labels - Crosshatch (1233), finished with the Merry Christmas (1065) and the Merry Christmas Shadow (1177).

Fourth Sneak Peek – The Peacock Card

Vandaag is de nieuwe die Peacock Add-ons (1330) aan de beurt. Deze kaart heb ik gemaakt voor mijn moeder, die op 26 januari jarig was. Ze vond de kaart schitterend!

Voor deze kaart heb ik alleen de Peacock Add-ons gebruikt. De Arch Pop-up kan hier ook mooi bij gecombineerd worden, maar die heb ik bij deze kaart niet gebruikt.

Omdat ik altijd twee kaarten maak, geldt dat ook voor deze kaart. Ik ben daarom een hele zaterdag bezig geweest met het maken van de pauwenveren. Ik wilde veel veren, en omdat ik twee kaarten maakte, had ik er dus ook dubbel zoveel nodig.

Omdat ik heel mooi designpapier had en de pauw op zichzelf al zo’n sterk beeld is, heb ik de kaart verder rustig gehouden. Het schrijfgedeelte is gemaakt met de Labels - Crosshatch (1184). Op de voorkant heb ik de Happy Birthday (1030) en de Happy Birthday Shadow (1179) gebruikt.

Card number four in the sneak peek week is the peacock. Today the new Peacock Add-ons (1330) die takes center stage. I made this card for my mother, whose birthday was on January 26th. She absolutely loved it.

For this card, I only used the Peacock Add-ons. The Arch Pop-up can also be combined with it, but I chose not to use it for this project.

Because I always make two cards, I did the same with this one. I spent an entire Saturday making peacock feathers. I wanted lots of feathers, and since I was making two cards, I needed twice as many.

Because I had such beautiful patterned paper and the peacock itself is already such a strong focal point, I kept the rest of the design quite clean. The writing area was made with the Labels - Crosshatch (1184). On the front I used the Happy Birthday (1030) and the Happy Birthday Shadow (1179).\

Third Sneak Peek – Valentine Pop-up Love

De derde kaart in deze sneakpeek week is een Happy Valentine’s kaart. Als basis heb ik de Lorna Label Pop-up (1266) gebruikt. Daarna was de nieuwe Love You Lorna Add-ons (1328) aan de beurt. Superhandig dat de YOU al in de die vastzit, zodat alles meteen mooi en goed gepositioneerd is.

Daarna ben ik helemaal losgegaan met de hartjes uit de Hearts Crosshatch (1191). Om de kaart extra schattig te maken, heb ik er konijntjes uit de Spring Animals (1074) bij gebruikt.

Op de voorkant heb ik de Happy Valentine’s Day (1114) en de Happy Valentine’s Day shadow (1252) gebruikt. Het konijntje houdt een snoephartje vast, dat komt uit de Candy Hearts Box (1156).

The third card in this sneak peek week is a Happy Valentine’s card. I used the Lorna Label Pop-up (1266) as the base. Then I added the new Love You Lorna Add-ons (1328). It’s so handy that the YOU is already connected in the die, making it easy to position everything perfectly.

After that, I went all out with the hearts from the Hearts Crosshatch (1191). To add extra cuteness, I used little bunnies from the Spring Animals (1074).

On the front of the card I used the Happy Valentine’s Day (1114) and the Happy Valentine’s Day shadow (1252). The bunny is holding a candy heart, which comes from the Candy Hearts Box (1156).

Second Sneak Peek – Stage Pop-up Underwater Scene

Vandaag is het tijd voor mijn tweede sneakpeek. Deze kaart vond ik echt geweldig om te maken. De basis is de nieuwe Stage Pop-up (1332). Deze kan in een kaart gebruikt worden, maar is ook heel mooi als stand-alone project.

Omdat ik een onderwater scene wilde maken, heb ik de rand van de Party Stage Add-ons (1335) gebruikt. Deze heb ik uitgedraaid in zandkleurig papier, zodat het schip goed zichtbaar is. Voor het schip heb ik de Boat Pop-up (1277) gecombineerd met de Pirate Ship Add-ons (1280).

Voor de aankleding van de rand ben ik begonnen met de schatkist uit de Pirate Borders. Daarna heb ik zeedieren toegevoegd uit de Sea Animals (1037) en de dolfijn uit de Leaping Animals (1301). Het zeewier, de kleine schildpadjes en de vissen komen uit de nieuwe Sea Stage Add-ons (1334) set.

Om de kaart helemaal af te maken heb ik met de Bouquet Bits (1293) en de bijbehorende stempelset CS014 Bouquet Sayings een bordje gemaakt met de tekst Happy Birthday.

Today it’s time for my second sneak peek. I truly loved making this card. The base is the new Stage Pop-up (1332). It can be used inside a card, but it also works perfectly as a stand-alone piece.

Because I wanted to create an underwater scene, I used the border from the Party Stage Add-ons (1335). I cut this in sand-colored paper so the ship would really stand out. For the ship, I combined the Boat Pop-up (1277) with the Pirate Ship Add-ons (1280).

To decorate the edge, I started with the treasure chest from the Pirate Borders. Then I added sea animals from the Sea Animals (1037) and the dolphin from the Leaping Animals (1301). The seaweed, small turtles, and fish come from the new Sea Stage Add-ons (1334) set.

To finish the card, I created a little sign using the Bouquet Bits (1293) and the matching stamp set CS014 Bouquet Sayings with the sentiment Happy Birthday.

First Sneak Peek – Karen Burniston January 2026 Release

Vandaag de eerste sneakpeek van de januari 2026 release van Karen Burniston. Als eerste kaart wil ik beginnen met de kaart die gemaakt is met de Photo Gallery Pop-up (1331) en de Hot Air Balloons (1327).

Gewapend met wat wolkjespapier en een aantal afdrukken van onze ballonvaart ben ik begonnen aan deze kaart. De foto’s heb ik bij de HEMA laten afdrukken. Eerst heb ik ze op formaat gemaakt en daarna op 10x15 gezet met Photo Elements. Dat werkte heel fijn. Even uitknippen en ik kon ze opplakken. De polaroids heb ik met dubbelzijdig plakband gedaan, zodat de foto’s makkelijk bleven plakken. Met wat tape op de foto zelf kon ik ze eenvoudig bevestigen.

Na de foto’s ben ik aan de luchtballonnen begonnen. Veel uitsnijden en daarna lekker kleuren puzzelen. Erg leuk werk om te doen. De HI komt uit de Mini Alphabet and Numbers (1197) en voor de banner op de voorkant heb ik de Greeting Labels (1312) gebruikt.

Today I’m sharing the very first sneak peek of the January 2026 release by Karen Burniston. For my first card, I’m starting with a project made using the Photo Gallery Pop-up (1331) and the Hot Air Balloons (1327).

Armed with some cloud paper and a few prints from our hot air balloon trip, I started working on this card. I had the photos printed at HEMA. First I resized them and then placed them on a 10x15 format using Photo Elements. That worked really well. After cutting them out, I could easily glue them onto the card. I used double-sided tape for the polaroids so the photos would stick nicely, and a bit of tape on the photos themselves made everything easy to attach.

After finishing the photos, I started working on the hot air balloons. Lots of cutting and then fun color puzzling. Such a relaxing and enjoyable process. The HI comes from the Mini Alphabet and Numbers (1197), and I used the Greeting Labels (1312) for the banner on the front of the card.
