Nog meer bier

Deze kaart heb ik even snel gemaakt voor een jongen die 18 is geworden. Het was een snelle kaart, want er was haast bij. Uiteindelijk ben ik wel tevreden.  Ik ben, voor het eerst, aan de slag gegaan met de Long Flap and Closure (1200). Ja ik vind hem erg gaaf. Ik moet alleen de magneetjes beter weg werken. Maar eens kijken of iemand daar nog tips over heeft. Ik werk niet zo veel met de slimline kaarten en vond de Little Labels Pop-Up (1183) het beste passen. Ook heb ik "cheers" (1111) vor het eerst gebruikt. Al met al was het erg leuk om te maken.

More beer

I made this card for a boy who turned 18. It was a quick card, because there was a rush. In the end I am satisfied. I started working with the Long Flap and Closure (1200) for the first time. Yes, I think he's very cool. I just need to get rid of the magnets better. But let's see if anyone has any tips on that. I don't work with the slimline cards much and found the Little Labels Pop-Up (1183) to be the best fit. I also used "cheers" (1111) for the first time. All in all it was a lot of fun to make.

Biertje?

De kaart van vandaag heeft als thema "biertje". Hans houd van een biertje en ik wilde mijn puff paint proberen. Puff paint is makkelijk aan te brengen. Dan warm je het op met je heat gun en dan wordt het een soort schuim. Dat ziet er erg cool uit. Net een echte schuimkraag.

Beer?

Today's card is themed "beer". Hans likes a beer and I wanted to try my puff paint. Puff paint is easy to apply. Then you heat it up with your heat gun and it becomes a kind of foam. That looks very cool. Just like a real foam head.

Kaart voor een klusser

Sandy Dillar had een geweldig idee. Ze maakte een werkbank van de nieuwe openhaard pop-up. Omdat er een verjaardag aankwam voor een klusser, heb ik het idee gebruikt. Ik vond het wel een leuk idee als de klusser iets aan het maken was. Dus de letters "happy birthday" heb ik uitgesneden, houtnerf gegeven en slordig maar op volgorde neer gegooid.

Card for a handyman

Sandy Dillar had a great idea. She made a workbench from the new fireplace pop-up. Since a handyman's birthday was coming up, I used the idea. I thought it was a nice idea if the handyman was making something. So I cut out the letters "happy birthday", gave it wood grain and threw it down in order.

Veel sterkte

Deze kaart heb ik gemaakt voor de zoons van de oom van Ronald die een tijdje terug is overleden. Ik kon hem niet eerder online zetten, want ik had een nieuwe release die gebruikt. De label waar "veel sterkte" op gestempeld is was er gewoon voor gemaakt. Ik vond hem perfect passen. Nu vind ik vlinders altijd wel goed voor deze gelegenheden, maar ik wilde eens iets anders proberen. Een alleenstaande boom vind ik ook een mooie. Dus ik heb mijn pop-up bomen erbij gepakt en kwam bij deze uit. Niet zo groot en ik kon er bloesem in doen.

With Sympathy

I made this card for the sons of Ronald's uncle who passed away a while back. I couldn't put it online before because I had used a die from the new release. The label (Label Charm Pop-up (1209)) with "great strength" stamped on it was just made for it. I thought it fit perfectly. Now I always think butterflies are good for these occasions, but I wanted to try something different. I also like a single tree. So I grabbed my pop-up trees and ended up with this one. Not so big and I could put blossoms in it.

Designer Challenge 61

Voor mijn tweede designer challenge heb ik een paar dies gebruikt van de nieuwe release. De opdracht was om het woord "just" te gebruiken. Nou dat kan dus van alles zijn. Ik heb er voor gekozen om een Halloween kaart te maken. Als uitdaging heb ik gekeken naar een die die eigenlijk nooit wordt gekozen voor een Halloween thema kaart. Ik vond de Cupcake pop-up wel een leuke keuze. Ik vond de nieuwe dies met de skelet erg leuk, dus die komen veel voor in deze kaart. De skelet met de pompoen als hoofd ontstond voor een gevoel van, er moet op die plek nog een beetje kleur komen. Dus ik heb het hoofd eraf geknipt en er een pompoen op gezet. Uiteindelijk erg grappig geworden.

For my second designer challenge I used a few of dies from the new release. The assignment was to use the word "just". Well that could be anything. I chose to make a Halloween card. As a challenge I looked at a die that is never actually chosen for a Halloween themed card. I thought the Cupcake pop-up was a nice choice. I really liked the new dies with the skeleton, so they are very common in this card. The skeleton with the pumpkin as head was created for a feeling of, there must still be a little color in that place. So I cut off the head and put a pumpkin on it. In the end it became very funny.

Soms is het even niet anders

Ik zit blijkbaar in een periode van mijn leven dat er om me heen, een flink aantal mensen overlijden. Dus vandaar dat ik de laatste tijd verschillende "sterkte"-kaarten heb gemaakt. Vandaag ook weer eentje. Omdat het naar een meneer gestuurd moet worden heb ik geprobeerd om hem een beetje neutraal te houden. Dus ik heb geen bloesem in de bomen gedaan. Ik vind zelf de voorkant wel leuk. Het lijkt net of je op je rug in het gras ligt en dan naar de lucht kijkt tussen de bomen door.

Sometimes it's just is

Apparently I'm in a period in my life when a lot of people die around me. So that's why I've been making several "strength" cards lately. Another one today. Because it has to be sent to a gentleman, I tried to keep him a bit neutral. So I didn't put blossoms in the trees. I like the front myself. It's like lying on your back in the grass and then looking at the sky through the trees.
